Pretty and challenging

I liked the image. Never work on puzzles that don't engage the eye. The pieces fit well, though there were several "imposter" pieces.

"Water Wheel" Comes with Leaks in Quality

Water wheel was my first Springbok puzzle. I liked working with the thicker than average puzzle pieces and the fact that all 1000 different pieces were actually included in the box. Even though some reviewers complain about the dull color of the completed puzzle when compared to the brightness of the photo on the box cover, I found this to be a minor issue that would not limit hanging the puzzle on the wall when finished. Where Water Wheel disappoints is in quality/quality control. As some reviewers note, the box that the puzzle comes in, is fragile, and can be easily damaged in transit from the manufacturer. The puzzle box that I received was crushed on one side near the corner. I can’t understand why the manufacturer is going on the “cheap”; quality boxes are commonly used by other puzzle companies. The puzzle pieces are supposed to be “precision cut” according to the manufacturer. However, I received a number of puzzle pieces in the plastic bag that were joined together in pairs by a strand of cardboard that had not been properly cut. These joined pieces had to be separated manually before I could begin the puzzle. So much for quality control checks at the factory before packaging and distribution. The puzzle did not come with a large color photo of the water wheel to help users navigate the more difficult tree vegetation and stone building sections of the puzzle. Inclusion of these copy sheets are common in most puzzles with 1000+ pieces. The user is stuck walking around the puzzle table looking at a smallish (9.75” x 11.5”) photo on the box top, which hides details. It is rather cumbersome to carry a box top around all evening. I can only rate this puzzle a”3”. There are simply other 1000+ piece puzzles made in North America and Europe with higher quality standards.

Beautiful “real life” photo puzzle

Great gift for Mom. SpringBok puzzles are amazing…this one as well. The real life photo puzzles are the best, but becoming increasingly harder to find. Great puzzle!!!

Bad quality control…

So disappointed. Gave this as a gift only to find out the pieces aren’t cut completely and when you try to take them apart the image tears.

Poorly cut pieces

Absolutely will not buy this brand again. pieces are not completely cut, the edges are ragged making it difficult to lock pieces together. I have worked many puzzels and this one is by far was the poorest quality of all of the brands avaliable. I was drawn by the image and the difficulty level. But it's not worth the amount of effort required to get pieces to interlock or the higher than average cost.

Challenging but beautiful pzzle

With COVID, my wife and I have become puzzle addicts. Every time we finish one, we post it to our Facebook pages for our friends to see. When we finished this one, we got a huge response from our friends. It was really challenging, but is so pretty that it was well worth the effort. Also, this one was a Springbok, which must of our puzzles have been. So the quality was really great.

Poor quality

Pieces are poorly cut and all have fuzzy edges. Definitely not their usual quality. Not gift quality!
