Excellent headlamp

I mostly use this for automotive repair, but it is also served it’s purpose when camping and doing stagehand work. It’s comfortable on the head and has good battery life. Another excellent feature is the ability to use 3 AAA batteries if the main battery dies. I wish Streamlight carried this over to lights like the Strion.

Great simple head lamp...

Thought this lamp was a great product... Built Rugged and Heavy Duty for long lasting usage! Not one of those $15 cheap head lamps, this one is made of Heavy Duty thick plastic... I am not sure how I like the recharging battery... but, I can always put the AAA battery in it... the light did a great job for scouting and camping! I really like that it clicks to the dimmer setting first and them double clutch to the brighter setting, if you need it... This lamp has simple settings... click it on and that's it... I bought this lamp to last for years to come and I think it will do the JOB! I think $42 was a bit much for this product... but if it lasts... I feel it was worth it!

Large round on/off switch is handy!

Brightness is very good! The large round twist-type on/off switch is very handy - even with gloves - no fumbling for a push button.

Good product but factory packaging was opened

I just received this product. The factory package was opened and missing the charger block. I was able to contact customer service and they gave me a percentage off. I have own this before and love the product.

Never buy batteries again!

I ordered this particular headlamp because I was getting tired of constantly buying batteries for my old ones. It is adequately bright for up close use and the user interface is great in my opinion. The 2 brightness settings are nearly ideal and the spot/flood is great as well. I have one gripe and it's that the LED color is a bit cooler than I'd like to see. It does create some harsh lighting and color rendering is difficult at times. If Streamlight could use a more natural or "Warm" color I think this headlamp would be a 5 star product. Overall I am very happy and believe I will get a lot of hard use out of it.

Can`t live without it!

In my professional restoration shop, each person wears one of these and it is because they score a 5 of 5 star on every level. Light up the job spot, 2 beams, flood or spot, comfortable all during the 8 hour day, and so rugged they last 3-5 years of every day use! We recharge at lunch and never have a blinking light notice of low battery. The oldest one is 10 years old now and still working.

Barely bright

Headlamp is decently made and functions better than the really cheap Ch** stuff. But for the price I was expecting a traditional Streamlight quality light. Not so. It has that old greenish white LED tint and is bright enough for close work. Trying to hike or go out to the backyard and looking at any distance using only this light is barely acceptable. It would be a worthy light for $20.00 delivered.
