take the tag off before you wash it

this is a decent towel set, but they had not only a sewn in tag, but also a cheap tag that "melted" in the washing machine. I washed the towels in cold water and the secondary tag completely disintegrated and stuck to all the other items in the washing machine and to the inside of the washing machine itself. It was a huge PIA to pick all the pieces out of the load and the machine.

Super thin

While the pattern and available colors are beautiful, these towels are extremely thin and not particularly absorbent. Then again, the price is very low for this large set. Form over function in this case.

and they're still shedding like crazy.

They are gorgeous, but shed SO MUCH lint. I've washed them about 10 times, and they're still shedding like crazy.

Nice towels, wish I could buy extra bath size ones

I have different towels that I like for different things. In the winter, I like big fluffy thick towels because I get cold and like to snuggle in them when I step out of the shower. But in the summer, I don't really need a big heavy towel. Also, the heat isn't on in the summer, so the heavy ones take longer to dry. This is also true for the time it takes in the dryer, so the thinner ones are nice. These aren't thin, they are more of a medium weight. They say "500 GSM" which is grams per square meter. Towels go from around 300 (thinner) way up to 900ish where they are thick and heavy. There are other factors of course, like loop style, materials, etc. For ease of understanding, I would call them "medium." This set comes with 2 bath towels (27x54, normal size, not overly small, but not the big "bath sheet" size either) 4 hand towels, and 6 washcloths. Personally, I would have preferred 4 bath towels, and fewer smaller items. I just don't use that many washcloths or handtowels (I have a paper handtowel dispenser in my bathroom) and usually use a bath poof or something, so that is a lot of washcloths for my family. Still, it wasn't like it was misadvertised or something, just a preference. I did look to see if I could buy extra bath towels to match, but couldn't find them. The company makes other towels, but I didn't see this weight or color as "al a carte" type offerings. The pattern is either smooth or honeycomb. I am sometimes type A and would have liked the extras so I could have 2 honeycombs out or 2 plains, the mixture of one of each hanging there together bugs me. I suppose I could buy another entire set, but geez, that is a lot of washcloths I don't need! Again, I didn't take any stars from the product because that is just a personal preference of mine, no fault of the product. They washed fine and the colors stayed nice and dark (I have the navy ones...and I dyed my hair red for some reason so I ~need~ dark towels now!! ha ha!!) They shed a little in the dryer, but not so much that my lint trap was chock full of blue fluff. They are really nice, practical, everyday type of towels. They would be fine for a guest, too. They are thin enough that if you need to pack one for a vacation or gym, they won't take up your entire bag.

So soft and thick

These are so soft and thick. Sewn well. No loose strings or seams. These absorb a lot of eater and dry quickly when hung up. This set is really nice for two people. Would be great in a master or guest bath. Two large bath towels, four hand towels and six washcloths make the perfect set. Half are jacquard pattern and half are plain blue. Really nice blue color. Highly recommend.

Absorbent and Luxurious Towel Set

Can a product name get any longer? Here we have the Superior’s 100% Cotton 500 GSM, Plush, Absorbent, High Quality and Durable Honeycomb Jacquard and Solid 12-piece Towel Set. (Wow! Catching my breath!) The first thing that we did was to launder the towels. They did shed as some other reviewers have noted. However, this is not entirely unusual when a product receives its first wash. The towel set looks great and feels nice to the touch. They feel absorbent and luxurious. They create a lovely accent in the bathroom whether they are hanging on the towel rack or folded up ready for use.

Love the bright colour and the 2 patterns offered...….BUT......wish 4 bath towels had been offered in the package (to go with the 4 face cloths)!

not what i expected

This towel set in not what I expected, they are overly soft or absorbent and they continually leave dye in the water. After showering there are traces of towel lint left on your body as well as in the tub. On a positive note however they are a good size.
