Beautiful design, weak construction.

The fabric itself is really nice & soft. I love quality of the fabric as well as the design. It's really beautiful. However, I knocked 2 stars off for the construction. For the price, the buttons should be sewn on securely. They are not. I just received this today and one button is already barely hanging on. Second, the corners should have tie-ins to keep the comforter in. For the price, they should have that. Third, the sewing and stitching is really weak. The inside end seams are already fraying so I'm pretty worried when it goes through just one wash, let alone multiple. If you want this for staging or a guest room, it would probably work great because it's really beautiful. But for functionality & quality construction? I would look elsewhere.

It's Real - WYSIWYG

Superior's Duvet/Pillowcases combo looks exactly as what you see in the photos at Amazon's site. The fabric is good quality, it feels good and it looked good after the first and second experimental washes. When it comes to durability, I will have to agree with other reviewers: stitching is a little weak but everything held together so far. I will be taking off one star to account for the stitching issues and I do not factor in 'price' which was high at the time I posted my review but prices often change. NOTE: WYSIWYG stands for "what you see is what you get", an old computer-related acronym widely used back in the 80's.

A subdued slate blue that has gorgeous ivory embroidery - feels smooth and cool, but is warm and breathable on my duvet

I think this is a beautiful duvet cover. It is a slate blue color, somewhere between blue and gray, with really intricate pretty ivory embroidery that really makes it seem luxe. The fabric itself is cotton, a thin medium but very smooth and very breathable. It breathes, the cotton is a nice tight weave but it doesn't make you sweat. It fits my son's queen size platform bed very well. (No box springs.) It should fit a queen bed with boxsprings too, but you'd probably want a good dust ruffle. The picture shows it going to the floor but perhaps that is a full-size bed as it isn't that big. Before I put it on the bed, I washed it, and it stood up to the wash well without any color running onto the embroidery. I did use a cold wash. It feels luxurious, no piling on the fabric, just smooth and cool, yet warm once you get snuggled in. The shams with the queen/full fit regular pillows. It's really nice they include them, some of the nicer duvets don't include those anymore. It is in a bedroom that is neutral brown and it looks nice. I am using it withBedsure Designs Down Alternative Comforter with Corner Ties, Full/Queen, White which fits perfectly inside. (There's instructions on the web for 'the burrito style' duvet insertion method, and I HIGHLY recommend it if you don't already know it- it's made my life a lot easier.)

high quality, fits well

This duvet cover set is high quality, soft and comfortable. It fit our queen size bed well, no problems. I expect that it will be durable (too soon to tell for sure), The color is attractive and pleasant. Recommended.
