Hard to tile.

This is the first time we purchased a plastic niche. It’s hard to tile due to the angles. A lot of trial and error. We are DIY’s so not a pro doing this every day. I think it was easier to do our own. I’m sure it will turn out fine but at least we aren’t in a rush.

Easy DIY'er product

I spent a lot of time searching for a shower niche similar to this one. Many had 4" shelves that I thought were too small. I was also worried about the ABS plastic; as far as its ability to hold a 4" X 12" tile and what kind of adhesive to use. I ended up using normal thin-set mortar for walls and floors (same stuff that I used to put up the shower wall tiles on the cement board) and it worked perfectly. I could not be happier with the results. This was my first time tiling so that is why I was worried. The only negative with this produce is that the back "wall" of the insert is a little flimsy. When you push on it, it will bow slightly. My research determined that this is typical of all of these ABS plastic niches. The worry was pushing against it could cause the tile grout to crack due to the flexibility. Easy problem to solve, just put a proper sized shim (in my case 3/4" plywood (worked perfectly) behind the insert, so that the insert perfectly fit in between the two studs and rested up against the Sheetrock on the opposite wall without a gap. I think that these shower niches are all overpriced for what they are, material wise. Over ~$50 for a piece of plastic seems crazy, however the time saved not building the niche from wood, and the fact that is will not not leak; it is definitely worth the money. I cannot say enough how happy I am with this product and how much it made a difficult project easy to accomplish for a first time Do-it-Yourself'er!.

THE DIMENSION IS INCORRECT. THE INSIDE DIMENSION IS 14"x22" – NOT 13"x21" AS DESCRIBED.

This is an exact same niche as the Uni-Green niche. I returned the Uni-Green because it was too big for me and I thought this would be smaller due to the dimensions described in listing. The inside dimension of this niche is 22" x14" not 21"x13". This niche has the same "UNI" etched on it. So it's basically the same one but listed under a different company's name. This created a confusion for me because after I have returned the actual Uni-Green niche, and then I received this niche to find it has the same name and same dimensions as the Uni-Green. I thought I have got mixed up and returned the wrong niche to Uni-Green. Ordered another one and found it's also a Uni-Green. That's when I realized both Suteck and Uni-Green niches are the same. Wasted my time. Please correct the inside dimension. It's not 13"x21". If you're a contractor and accurate dimension is important to you, don't get this niche if you want a 13"x21" dimension.

Its so nice

I feel like my shower stall is so luxurious. Ive only seen this niche on TV, and now I have one. The handyman installed it without any problems and plut in my chosen tile. I couldnt be more happy. So glad I bought this!

Fit rt in the hole that I built per the drawing. Looks and feels sturdy once I seal it to hardy board ready for tile.

Great for the Master Bath Shower or any Bathroom really

We have used these before and they have worked wonderful in our tiled showers and tub surrounds that we install in the New Homes we construct. They are easy to install, new fuss, no mess and the thin-set adheres to the niches quite well and makes the tile installation that much quicker.

Very Durable

So, I bought this for the new tiling job in my bathroom. I like the smaller shelf for soaps or razors and similar small items. It is also quite durable. Our bath had to be re-tiled twice because the first guy had no idea what he was doing and screwed everything up, especially the niche. The second person, who had the required experience and knowledge to do the work, was able to rip out all the glass tile and reuse this product. Had it been one of the resin products or the like, we would have had to spend another 55-70 dollars for the work. I highly recommend using this item!
