Buy The Best!

Needed a plate to fine-tune my motor height, but didn't require a lot of setback. TH Marine always has quality systems to fill the bill! Easy to install and wire up; now I have full, fast height adjustment, even at high speed. Thanks again for the fine products you produce at a fair price!

It got a bad review from its relays

It moves very quickly I have a 200 Honda which is a very heavy motor. It got a bad review from its relays. The first time I took it out salt water got in the relay and shorted both of them out. I have to install new relays to fix the jack plate. The relays need to be more water proof. I contacted the company no questions asked they sent a complete brand new wiring harness. I put the wiring harness on and it works perfectly. After a year I have gone through 3 relays 1 breaker, 2 inline fuses. I am about to build a brand new wiring harness. There harness is great for fresh water but can't handle salt water. Now in the same compartment is the pump for the power pole, battery maintiner, and power switch batteries. Everything works great except for the wiring harness for the jackplate.

Good product overall

I really liked the unique (patented) design of this transom jack plate. It allowed the engine to be run at the lowest vertical position of any jack plate that I could find. Mine had a problem with one of the rollers binding during operation, which starting galling the the alloy slot that it traveled within. This product had many good reviews so it must have been a rare defect. I returned it for replacement.

CMC PL-65 High Speed Hydraulic Jack Plate works great. I had one back in the early 90's and licked it so I gat back in the bass fishing and bought a used rig that dis not have one and to me its a must so i got the same thing as made year's ago and it is a great unit.

Ships fast, works well. Have three of these units on research vessels. Probably better for freshwater. Relays and wiring harness are not designed for intense saltwater environment. I have attempted to slow down the corrosion by squeezing silicone on the relay bodies where the wires enter. I now carry relays and spare circuit breaker. Have also burned through an actuator. May have been improper use, but these seem to not be as robust as needed for salt water use. After years of maintenance, Id like to try the Atlas instead and see if it's better...
