Covered low profile

I like this low profile socket cover when not in use. It's compact and store away. I used this socket primarily for my Christmas lights so when I don't use it anymore I like keep the plug out of the way as much as possible. This is perfect for my nerd and would recommend this.

Wish it had one more feature

This product is great. I knew this before buying it but I would love if there was some type of clasp to make this 100% sealed when not in use. The gap for the cord is an entry point when not in use. Still worth the buy if you want the more stealthy cover to blend in with your house in visible areas vs the plastic bulkier options Taymac has. I love those as well but only for hidden locations. I use the ML500 on my deck.

Improvement over spring loaded covers

Cover looks great and is weatherproof. It expands when a plug is in place and still stays shut. The only ding on it is that you won't be able to use two plugs at the same time. The hole at the bottom will only fit one cable.

Solid weatherproof enclosure

Solid and weatherproof.. Easy to install. Comes with multiple types of plates and different length screws. Would recommend for sure

Does the job very well

I was looking for a solid expandable outdoor outlet cover that would allow me to install an A/C powered camera outside. This cover fit the bill. After plugging in, you run the wire out of the little hole on the bottom right hand side. Then you press the lid closed and feel it snap firmly into place. The sides of the unit expand sort of like an accordion so you can expand or compress to get the perfect fit for your plug while also keeping the elements away from the outlet. The little window also helps so you can keep an eye on outlet conditions. It definitely is worth spending the couple extra bucks to get this unit. The difference in quality really shines through. I'm very confident that no water will be getting into my outlet at *all* with how solidly this unit seals shut.

These work well and the extending box feature is perfect

I have replaced four exterior gang boxes through brick with these TAYMACs. I can attest to them being very waterproof. They were no more difficult to install than a normal gang box. They are well built and come with a variety of cover plate options. The pop-out extended waterproof box on these is a great way to keep your cords plugged in without worrying about them being in the rain.

stealth weatherproof outlet.

The previous plastic boxes were UV destroyed by the sun, and ugly, this was a huge improvement. At this location, they needed the box style (vrses just covers) because of seasonal lighting. The expansion of the bellows will easily cover the seasonal lighting fine, but a large working extention for power tools will not fit inside. OK, so the landscaper and the carpenter , will easily be able to flip it up, like a cover, and still do the job, but they would not have the full weather protection with such a large robust cord. so that works still. The seasonal lighting will be happy protected and contained, the temporary use of a big/good extension cord, would not, but that is temporary. If you need to plug in a RV for example for months , you would prefer a box that could handle that.

Great quality

It was easy to install and works great. I bought it because it extends so it makes it easier to plug in any kind of cables. If I replace any of my other outdoor outlets, I'll probably buy this one again. I'd certainly recommend it.
