ok I'll be the first to admit that I did not research Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University to any great degree. When I arrived in 1971, I was housed in a relatively new dorm. Construction was everywhere. The doors on the Coliseum were primer orange. It took me 3 months and a couple of football games to figure out that "primer orange" was a school color. Also, there was some deranged individual (in some way associated with the cheerleaders) dressed in some bizarre anthropomorphized critter. I was leaning toward mythological demon - till someone explained that it was supposed to be a turkey. I inquired as to why, with no satisfactory explanation. It was sumthun referred to as a Hokie. A pseudonym adopted by the students. I assume lots of beer was involved. Time marches on... VPI became VPI&SU then Virginia Tech. {Friends will come and go - Enemies accumulate} Ergo, the d@mn turkey remains. As hats/caps go, it's ok. Sans turkey, possibly better. Paying upwards of 20 bucks for a 3 dollar hat - not exactly cost effective.. but, as I mentioned - I'm not in to research.

Hat is of good material but the size is for a kid!! not an adult
I'm giving the hat to kids ... I purchased it for adults, but they are way way too small... If the kid is 10 years or younger, it will likely fit them... save your money if you're an adult!

A great hat at a great price.
I was looking for a hat that was show off my team, and I found one! This hat arrived very quickly, it is exactly what I was expecting. It fits very comfortable, the bill is shaped quite well, and it seems very well made. It's pretty much all I can ask for in a hat.

Tons of compliments!
I’ve received lots of compliments on this hat. Fits great, well made and looks sharp. It’s my go-to hat now, and will likely buy other teams/colors.
