Sturdy, Quality Marble Run

This VTech marble run is sturdy and made of good quality plastic. The pieces all fit nicely together. One of the best things about this set is the interlocking base pieces that form a solid foundation for the run. My son has another type of run that doesn't have this, and it frustrates him because he can't build it on carpet without the pieces collapsing. This set is much better. It can be assembled on carpet without any issues. Even though this is a basic starter set, it contains a few fun features such as buckets that tip, a splitter and a vortex. The pivot points on the buckets is set so that the weight of a few marbles is needed to make them spill. Also, the angle of the vortex is too shallow, so marbles tend to take a long time to fall. Otherwise, this is a fun STEM toy that can be configured in multiple ways, especially if combined with other sets. After receiving this, I purchased one additional set to add more building possibilities. VTech offers several options in this line, which is really nice if you want to test this out to see how much your child will play with it prior to making a large investment.

Pretty good beginners set

This is a good basic/beginners set that’s well-made and durable. With a bit of our help, our son was able to build according to instructions provided. Will probably benefit from getting another set from Vtech to add-on in the future.

Good Starter set

Easy enough to set up, my 4 year old was able to quickly catch on and put some of it together on his own. The prices more loosely fit together so any bumps or movement cause then to disconnect or become misaligned, which caused some toddler frustration. The balls are about the size of mini gumballs, so def a choking hazard. This was a fun intro piece to marble runs and really sparked my littles interest, the excitement of following the ball to see where it will go! However this is kind of a basic set that lacks much versatility or customization, so he lost interest in it pretty quickly. I'd be interested in purchasing additional expansion packs if they were offered to make larger or more intricate runs, but mainly just having the ability to change up the runs path.

not very sturdy and falls apart easily

I was really excited to assemble this with my four-year-old but it was a bit tricky getting everything to stay in place. Once we finally assembled it, the towers kept falling over or pieces would fall off. It isn't very durable and can be frustrating for younger children when they try playing with it.

Great for toddlers

This VTech marble run set is perfect for toddlers. My 4 year old son required my help to get it assembled, but the instructions were clear and easy to follow. Set up didn’t take long at all and you can involve your toddler in the building process by asking for certain colored pieces. After assembly, he was able to play with the toy for an extended period of time and really enjoyed it. Another benefit is that this marble run set is compatible with other VTech sets, so you can connect them together. Stability is the only issue I see with the set. It’s mostly stable, but there was one instance during setup that I accidentally knocked it over while trying to install a piece. Not a big deal, but it was a minor setback with an eager toddler by my side. Overall I’ll give this item a 5 star rating despite the fact that its stability could be improved. It captured the curious mind of my 4 year old and he had a blast playing with it.

Great toy to keep kids busy

This is a great toy. I wouldn't get it for nobody under 6 due to they might swallow the balls. It has 3 stages to setup. A little complicated to set up but once you got it, they love it
