It will hold up!!
I was wondering if it’ll be good since it’s so cheap but I’m convinced now. I fought a 6lb 3oz largemouth through weeds and moss and everything held up fine. The rod, reel, and line were all stock and I was able to land my personal best fish of all time. So yeah, 5 stars!

Some parts far apart easily.
Ordered this pole and didn't get to use for a year or so. Went to set up the line and found out it would not feed out of the spool. Pulled it apart and saw that when it was assembled at the factory some YOYO got the line caught in the area below the spool. Had to locate where it was stuck and cut the line. Lost about 6 ft of line after trying to manually pull it out without much success. So with that fixed I went fishing for one day. Pole worked great. Next day of fishing the reel handle got a bit wobbly and had to tighten it. On one cast the tip of the rod line guide came off. I looked at it and saw there were no glue marks it had just been stuck on apparently. Was going to glue it back on but got frustrated and cast with it the next lower position and got a bad snag and lost the whole rigging. Going to have to buy a new tip guide and glue it well. All the other Zebco rods I've had have been tough. Not so much this one.

The media could not be loaded. Ive had collapsible rods before. Always seemed a bit of a joke. This Zebco Roam, though, is the real deal. Bought for my wife. Threw new rod in a canoe and hit the river. Its light, but feels substantial. Once extended, it never collapsed and the guides never rotated during use. Wife caught a few fish, including a feisty 5.5 lb catfish with this rod/reel. After fishing, the rod easily collapsed with line hardware still intact. Its only been used once, but im not hesitant to say this Roam is a winner if wanting an affordable, compact, quality rod/reel.

Carefull with the tip.
The media could not be loaded. It is very light weight. Wish it came with a bag or so.e type of protection for packing. The tip cover will be easy to loose. Haven't used it yet but when I do I'll submit my experience. I've been fishing for over 25 years and camping/hiking for the same. Over all from. What I've got right here I'm excited to try it out! Sturdy grip. Reel seems well built. Pole has me a little worried with the tip being g fragile and not well protected. But I'll have something for that soon

Excellent rod and reel, caught several species and sizes of fish on this guy. Pike, Walleye,bass, and Zebco always seems to be a great product! Buy it, I bought two!

Don't buy if you catch anything bigger than sunfish
Broke the first time we used it. Caught a big rock bass (still less than 1 lb), but the rod shouldn't break on a rock bass. The line didn't break, the last section of rod broke. It was delivered June 6th and our return window closed July 7. Not happy.

i read a review that it would break after a decent fish. i chose to ignore it and i had the rod break on the first decent fish (~1 pound pike). do not buy this rod unless its for tiny fish. actually just dont buy this.
