Blocks out the neighbor’s Rooster!

I just got this today and luckily the rooster ???? was screaming it’s little rooster head off so I could test whether it successfully blocked his rooster yelling noises out or not… It did, indeed block the rooster yelling noises and I am a very happy, soon to be sleeper! That chronically excitable rooster isn’t 20 feet from my bedroom window and to say I’m a light sleeper would be an understatement. It usually starts around 3 am and doesn’t stop sometimes until after noon! I thought, “aren’t roosters supposed to crow when the sun comes out then shut their rooster mouthes after that?”…the answer is no, unfortunately and I quickly found that out after Google assisted me with investigating this question. I already sleep with a fan (as you can see in the picture) but it’s loudest did nothing to drown out his rooster yelling. You may ask “why don’t you knock on your neighbors door and angrily tell them “shut your rooster up or get rid of it!” Well, firstly because confrontation terrifies me. But also I’m an overly understanding person with hyper empathy and know that the world doesn’t revolve around me and my sleep. The rooster is doing what roosters do, protecting it’s hens from predators, and the family (a very large family) is doing what they can to save money (or make it, I’m not sure). The grocery stores around our house have been under stocked with eggs for the last year and limit the number you can buy. Long story short, my problem is solved and I didn’t even need to arrogantly threaten my neighbors or force them to kill their rooster, especially he’s so diligent at his job of protecting his hens. ????‍♀️????????????????????????

Drowns out sound better than anything else

I have autism with really bad noise sensitivity, so I experience a panic-induced rage whenever there are bad noises that I can't stop (the gorls who get it, get it). Last year, I made the mistake of moving in with an only-child roommate who has an abysmal understanding of her own volume, and it quite nearly broke me. I've spent so many nights cowering in my room with high quality ear plugs (Loops) and noise-cancelling headphones (Sony WH-1000XM4s), blasting white noise and trying to block out her afternoon gossip. I would politely ask her to move to the living room so that there would be more than a wall separating us (she always refused). I tried establishing quiet hours at midnight (she rarely followed them). And I would even blast YouTube 8hr brown noise videos at top volume with multiple tabs (using the 16" Macbook Pro speakers. Not the best speakers out there, but pretty darned loud). You get the point. Nothing worked. No matter what I did, I could still hear her screaming on FaceTime about her emotionally immature Pisces friend who stole a man from her bestie (hot tea, but still) or hear all of her 3AM lovey talk with her boyfriend. And even if methods worked, they weren't great for overnight use, so my sleep was shot. This noise machine changed everything. It's plug and play. It's quite small (the footprint is about the size of a mug coaster). It plugs in, so it's reliable and doesn't depend on a flaky battery or limited charge. And it's LOUD. I received this package and plugged it in during one of my roommate's complaint sessions, and instantly, her workplace woes were out of my ears. I've never felt such peace in my life. I only nudged the volume up twice for safety, but it really wasn't necessary. I think part of it may have to do with the wide variety of sound frequencies and textures this machine provides. Certain frequencies block voices better than others, and this machine has that variety. But speculative physics aside, this machine saved my life. Now, I don't have to feel like I'm going to die. I don't have to hate myself for getting mad that she's making noise in her own room. And I don't have to ask her to stop at 3AM when I can't stand the pressure of my headphones. And an added perk is that I don't have to dedicate my laptop speakers to drowning out sound. Having this noise machine as a dedicated device leaves all my other devices free for me to listen to music and watch videos. I get more out of every night because of this. TLDR: If you're trying to block out noise, this is the best thing you can buy for yourself. Best $60 I've ever spent.

Excellent unit for the price

I rarely do this, but felt I owe it to the proprietors of this business. Everything about this unit is fantastic. The shape of it, the speakers, the ergonomic and intuitively placed buttons (on button on top, volumes and noise switchers underneath, in a triangular shape; very handy in the middle of the night). The AC in on the bottom features a neat little groove on the bottom which is held in place with a piece of plastic on the edge; very handy to keep the AC in cord in good shape. the USB on the other side WITH AN INCLUDED WALL JACK is very useful and thoughtful as well. Sounds are excellent as are the speakers, you get a great range of sounds in both type and pitch. I have 4 of these, having purchased 3 more for my car and kids' rooms after the first one, and it's been nothing but a major windfall every night with no issues. Grab this one. I just saw one review about longevity, where the reviewer felt that after 2 years of nightly use the speaker started to sound weird, but honestly if you can grab this on sale for 35 or 40 dollars is that even really a dealbreaker? I've only had it a few months, but if these all last me 2 full years I can only hope they'll be available again at that time.
