Why did I wait so long?

to buy a simple and elegant matching set of 12 dinner plates…Had my first dinner party using these lovely plates, breaking a long string of mix and match dinnerware, or borrowing from friends. Do it. It’s relatively cheap to set a lovely table and feel like a real adult.

FYI - Color is not bright white and came with tons of spots under the glaze

I knew that this style of Amazon-made dishes are called "white" but in real life the color is slightly off-white with a bit of a gray tone. That said, now you know too. This particular set was disappointing because not only are they much more shallow than the picture and from the stated dimensions, there were multiple black/brown spots and gray smears underneath the glaze - so those won't ever come off. Spots are both inside the bowl and on the rim, so they're obviously a flaw. This is probably why this set was always available from the Amazon Warehouse. Aside from that, the dishes feel nice in the hand (but very shallow, so I wouldn't use these for normal quantities of soup). I have never put any Amazon dish in the oven.

Excellent Money-Saving Customer Returned Items

I immediately opened the package minutes after I took the delivery from Amazon today. I was curious to find out the conditions of the 12 plates (9" Amazon Commercial brand) as they were only listed as "acceptable" with "larger than 1" imperfections" by Amazon Warehouse. All plates were received undamaged, thanks to great job by Amazon handler. I could see the product box was re-taped and had some attached shipping labels removed so the package was indeed a customer return. Inside the box 12 plates were separated into 3 smaller boxes, out of which only one showed signs of having been opened. Logically, I re-opened this box and managed to find one plate (out of four) showing signs of imperfection but definitely not 1". Instead , the so called 1" imperfection consists of two small bumpy dots less than 1/2" apart, possibly during heating process. The camera could not capture the defects and I gave up. I also checked the other 11 plates, and they seem good to me. I took a measurement of the plates, they measured 9 1/8 " instead of 9" listed. Other than the one plate showing small defects (expected), the plates are of great quality, and feel heavy and durable. I highly recommend this product.

Wrong labelling

The description on the item says 'Dinner Plates'. As you can see when I put the plates that arrived today alongside my white Dinner Plate, they are considerably smaller. They're smaller than my old side plates. Either I have gigantic slices of 800g sliced bread or these Dinner Plates are the smallest I ever saw!!!

Caros y feos

Cogí una oferta de los 12 platos de postre por poco más de 1€ por plato. Al recibirlos, decepcionado con el tamaño (culpa mía, no caí que eran tamaño postre), y la apariencia pobre. Cuando los veo pienso en cutre, en un self-service de carretera con comida recalentada en microondas, en macarrones secos, cartón y yeso mojados en agua en un vaso de cristal manchado En definitiva, feos pero feos.
