Engine starts.. it’s a good start

Just received the item today and got it installed on my 2015 Tracker V16 WT. everything worked out. I had an angle bracket that I bought from Home Depot that made the project very easy to mount. One thing I forgot to do was to oil the rings—both ring on the filter—so I had to remove it after testing it. Everything is working and I’m happy. Can’t wait to test it out on the water this weekend. This takes out the guessing game with the fuel being contaminated with water and it is a safeguard to my injectors and fuel pump. A very cheap investment for your engine.

Perfect! The included plugs are accurate, contrary to another review.

This is a top quality fuel/water seperator. A previous reviewer mentioned that the npt pipe plugs were the incorrect size for the unused ports, and I disagree completely. They are accurate and top quality brass plugs. Like all npt pipe plugs, a thread sealant must be used. The Atwood company is based in Lowell, MI, and this seperator base and filter are made in Taiwan. Top quality machining/casting. Using this for my Mercruiser inline 6 in my boat. The filter does not look like what is pictured, and has white lettering and conveniently has 10 different part numbers for fuel filters listed on it. The filter has a large warning stating: DO NOT USE WITH DIESEL ENGINES. You might want to do your research and see if a compatible filter is compatible with diesel fuel. The attwood filter that comes with this is 11841. Other equivalents include: 20911 seachoice 7845 Sierra 24940 GLM 35-802893T Mercury 24950 SMI 52113 Valmar 7-0873 Marpac Mf10 tempo Ps3808 Fram Prices fluctuate constantly on Amazon, but I picked this up for $22 at the time of this review.

I appreciate that it came with the filter and 2 screws to block the unused side but they could also have thrown in the hardware to connect the fuel line.

Must have for any boat.

Easy to install and comes with all of the necessary hardware minus the fitting for your fuel line. Make sure to use a thread sealant on your fittings. This is a must have for any boat that is in a area that is hard to get ethanol free fuel. My boat has never ran this well.
