Makes Great Coffee

I got this BUNN CSB2B Speed Brew Elite 10-Cup Coffee Maker, Black, to replace a coffee maker that uses the small pods to make coffee. Granted, the pods are convenient to use because you don’t have to measure anything or add coffee grounds to a basket to make coffee. But I prefer the ability to add more or less coffee grounds to the funnel on the drip type maker so I can make a pot of coffee that fits my taste buds better than the pre-measured pods. I really like this coffee maker because once it is initially heated, it lives up to the name “Speed Brew “ by making a pot of coffee in just a few minutes. It took approximately three minutes to make a full 10 cup carafe of delicious coffee when I checked my watch out of curiosity. The only things I don’t especially like about this coffee maker are that they recommend to leave the water reservoir heater on so that the water in the water reservoir is always hot and the coffee maker is ready to brew a pot of coffee on demand. If you are like me, I want to turn the heat off after drinking my morning coffee because I won’t be using it again until the next day. In order to brew a new pot of coffee the next morning, I get up and turn it on and while I am doing other things it heats the water. It takes approximately 15 minutes for the coffee maker to get heated up and ready to brew again which is not a big deal for me. But it means that if you want to get up and have a pot of hot coffee waiting for you this is not the machine for you. I bought a timer thinking I could get it ready the night before and then the timer would start the brew cycle but because of the way this is designed you can’t do that. When you pour the fresh cold water in and close the lid, the water starts to run through the filter and into the carafe as soon as you close the lid, wether the water is heated or not. So when I tried the timer I ended up with a carafe of just tinted water. So if you drink a lot of coffee during the day this would be an excellent choice for you because it is always ready to brew. If you want a coffee maker that will have a pot of coffee brewed when you get up in the morning this is not the model you want. I prefer a better cup of coffee so I don’t mind the extra step of heating the water each morning. If they made this so you could set up the automatic brew that some other models have it would get ten stars out of five.

Almost perfect

*Update 04-09-2023: What I like- This maker came with clear directions and was easy to set up. The pot pours without spilling. (My old pot was a nightmare to pour without spilling) The pot sits down in a litte cradle so it stays in place on the warming plate. The coffee tastes great and brews at the perfect temperature. It has nice styling for a home unit and is quiet when heating the water. The power on light is small and blue instead of large and red like most makers but it does shine bright enough to catch your attention. What I don't like- I ordered one with a chrome back shield. The one I received is very blue. *I FOUND THAT THERE WAS A BLUE REMOVABLE FILM OVER THE CHROME BACK SHIELD. SO I DID I DEED GET WHAT I PURCHASED. I needed a coffee maker now and couldn't wait to return this one to get a replacement shipped. So buyer beware, the one you get might not look like the one you purchased. If it wasn't for the color of the back shield, I would have given this unit 5 stars. UPDATED TO 5 STARS.

FAST Delicious Coffee

Not a great picture, it's the office coffee pot so you know it sees a LOT of use. And I want to mention the Blue behind the pot is the static cling protective sticker, but we like blue so we left it. That part is silver on the base. We have very hard water and this make/model of coffee pot lasted us for 3+ years without descaling (which I highly recommend you do IF you have hard water). I took the old one home to clean up because it STILL WORKS, just drips slow. This new one makes a pot of coffee in maybe 2 minutes tops. Coffee tastes great. Highly recommend this coffee pot.

Love my Bunn Coffee maker!

This one replaced my 20 year old Bunn. Love the 4 to 5 minutes brew time. It holds coffee hot and fresh for about 2 hours. After that , it's bad, just make a new pot. Life is too short for bad coffee!

An improvement on older Bunn models

We replaced our BXB model Bunn coffeemaker after ten years (it was still operational, it was just a bit tired and despite cleaning tablets, had slowed a bit.) We're really happy with this new model! The unit is slightly smaller in height and depth, and the finish/aluminum are more streamlined and attractive. The filter cup "fits" better and the burner has a slight ring that helps ensure that the pot is correctly centered. Rushing with the old one meant more than a few spills, which is harder to do with this model. The coffee brews quickly and the blue light is adequate to let you know the unit/burner is on. Very pleased with this one!

Perfect & Quick Coffee

I switched to Bunn coffee makers well over a decade ago. My mom had one & her coffee was excellent & made in only 5 minutes. They last a very long time if you clean them like they tell you esp if your like me & have hard water. I won't ever go back to any other type of coffee maker. Yes they're expensive but well worth it and they last much longer than the cheaper pots. If you buy one you won't go back.

Love it!

Bought this to replace a Bunn coffeemaker which was about 10 years old. This model looks great and is a fresh, updated styled model! Works perfectly and has some nicer features than the older model. Bunn makes quality products and I'm very happy with this one!

Works Amazing

Read all the reviews good and bad. We loved our last Bunn and decided to go ahead with this one. Works as stated and we have had zero issues. No burning plastic smells, no weak coffee just an all around great machine. Would recommend this to anyone who is looking for this type of machine. Our last one lasted 8 years hopefully this one does just as well.

As advertised!

Coffee is better and quicker with the hot water reservoir. Only issue, but was well published, is warmer plate doesnt turn on or off automatically. Need to reprogram me to remember.

My daughter recommended this coffee maker. Best ever. Just have to remember not to close the lid until you put the pot on the burner. Highly recommend.

It makes a good cup of coffee and it’s a beautiful machine

This machine is very attractive and makes great coffee. I wish however that it had an automatic shutoff switch though.
