Beyond expectations!!

My 30-yr old Rival finally had a breach to the non- stick coating. My hunt began... The first one I'd received from a different seller was not only a 3qt advertised as a 5qt but had a dented lid. No box, just a plastic bag with a TJ Maxx sticker on it with "5qt" written on it. Several other reviewers mention the dented lid so I called to report the seller and the listing was removed. Talk about unethical to make a mass purchase of damaged, mis labeled items through a retailer then try gouging consumers on here! I'm happy to have been a part of shutting them down. Anyway, I digress. I paid a bit more from this seller but this one actually came in a Calphalon box, completely flawless and the correct, 5qt size. The inner lip of the lid has holes to strain without needing to pour contents into a colander. It's neither heavy nor light and flimsy. Most importantly, stamped "Perrysburg, OH, USA" into the bottom.

Calphalon cookware is the best cookware to use

We purchased the entire set of Calphalon cookware when it first came out on the Emeril Lagasse show many years ago and it still looks and works like new. This pan is even better than our old ones. Our first set didn't come with a dutch oven with the ports on each side to drain liquids off what you're cooking.

Best pot ever!

So high performing! Pour spouts on either side for draining. If I could only have one pot, this would be it.

Calphalon is the best!

This Calphalon dutch oven is the best ever, well made to last a long time. My only problem is the spouts. Even with the lid on tight,steam still comes out and I have been burned twice. I think if there was only one spout, I could live with it by angleing the spout away. The lid has holes to accomodate pouring from the pan and can be turned to cover the spout but the steam still comes out. Sadly, I am returning and looking for one without spouts.
