Double gears are the way to go

From now on I will search for double gear wenches. They pull evenly and wont twist the barrel in time. Very Nice well made!!!

These are great, they are easy to install, they seem very nice and heavy duty. We use them for jetskis and they work great. The one downside for us is that the handle was too long to fit our trailer curvature, too long to go a full circle. We had to use our old handle to make it fit. For reference we have an older double jetski Karavan trailer. This would not be an issue on a boat trailer, or maybe even on a different jetski trailer.

It was supposed to be "like new" but had missing parts.

I needed a new boat wench and this one said only the packaging was damaged. It was a few dollars less and next day delivery, which was good, so I ordered it. When it arrived there was a new looking wench in the box but didn't come with the cranking handle. The description says a handle is included. So I used the handle off my old one. It's sad that the product was "inspected by Amazon" but apparently wasn't. Proceed with caution on Amazon "like new" items. You may not get what you are paying for.

2" beam

Will not fit on a 2" wide beam, even if you grind the top slots wider the catch spring is in the way for U bolt. You will have to drill your beam for the center hole use.

Definitely had been returned and taped.

The product worked as expected and was easy to install. The teeth if the old winch on this Ttacker boat were shot so I ordered this as a replacement. Bolt patterns lined up perfectly and it literally took me 10 minutes to install. I give it 3 stats because it was obviously a return. The box had been torn and "repaired" with scotch tape. Fortunately, there weren't a lot of pieces or they would have been lost. Don't advertise as new and sell returns. Be truthful in your description.

FYI Does not include mounting hardware.

Seems like a nice heavy duty unit, easy to install. However as noted in the headline it does not come with any mounting hardware. You will need 2 - 3/8 x 18 x 1 inch bolts, washers, lock washers, and nuts.

Comfortable handle

Replaced the original winch on my boat trailer. Bolted up exactly in the spot of my old 1000lb winch. Arrived fast but have not had boat out since installing to see for sure how well it works.
