Like the new style

We do like the new container style with the slide off top. Will be testing both a hot and cold dishes with a luncheon for the local Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 8 meeting today.

Did not hold a 4" full size pan as it should without modifications to the pan corners. I think NOT (RETURNED)

Think outside the box with these!

At first I was very disappointed after finding out it will only carry ONEfull size pan, or, if like me, you ordered the 8” deep model! With the 8”, you could carry a 4” deep full, and one 4” half pan under it turned opposing direction! Or you can carry 2.. 6”” deep half pans, or no pans at all and carry misalanious items to keep hot or cold! I cater and smoke bbq and brisket so I can wrap and carry several in each! So I think for now I’ll keep mine!

The only reason I didn't give this box a five-star rating is because of its weight. You might not want smaller kids or elderly people carrying this box or picking it up, especially if it's filled with hot food as the box is pretty heavy empty. Not a deal-breaker by any means; I[m just saying. Other than that, no suggestions other than maybe a carrying strap so you could possibly carry it one handed as the hand holds are not very aggressively made.

Very Happy with this product

I used it at a church tailgate, the food was left in the car for about 3hrs, when I open it up the food was still popping hot. The only thing I didn't like was it was very heavy but not a deal breaker. Overall I'm very pleased.

Perfect Fit

Carlisle makes great catering and service industry coolers and accessories. The thing I like most about Carlisle is that they are interchangeable with their competitors products and that they are easier to get my hands on than others. The price point is good and the quality is great.

I'm honestly surprised so many people are having good luck with this

I'm honestly surprised so many people are having good luck with this, because I am not happy at all. Perhaps I got a defective unit. Part of the function of a Cambro or Hotbox is to be airtight, to keep heat in. I got it to put brisket in, and even wrapping my brisket in two towels before putting in in this box, it loses temperature fast. I pull my brosket around 203, wrap in a towl and put right in the box and within an hour, it's practically 160 degrees. I've switched back to using my igloo cooler, because it keeps the heat much, much better.

Works exactly as described

I use this to provide lunch for a volleyball team and their families at their tournaments. Keeps food warm for hours at a time. I can cook the food at home and keep stored until they are ready to eat hours later. Food was still steaming after 5 hours. I use 2 x half size 6" metal food trays with lids inside the container (sold separately).
