Camp Cooker

This is my favorite to make hand pies over the fire and ham and cheese sandwich. It cleans up easy. I sent 2 to my daughter and son in law for their camper.

You get what you pay for.

There is a reason the competition is much more expensive. This does the trick but is very flimsy. Probably will not last very long, but it did cook evenly and didn't stick with a little spray.

I’ve gone through many styles of these pudgy pie makers camping… this one is great quality and I feel like it will hold up for many trips!!!

Good and not so good

I received the cookers much earlier than expected, a month earlier as they were out of stock when I ordered them, 5 stars for that! However, I ordered 2, one was new, as expected, and I am happy about that. The other was obviously a previous return, packaging stapled back together, handles twisted and slightly bent and a critical-to-function piece missing. These issues, to me, were worth fixing rather than returning the product, but worth mentioning to future buyers. Note to the product vendor, don't do that! If you're going to sell a product that is not in new condition, then advertise and price it that way, not all consumers will be as forgiving or handy as me ;p

Buyer Beware - Will Melt if Left in Fire

So this is my fault for not thinking about the possibility, but all previous camp cookers I've used have been made of a heavier metal than this; I'm pretty sure they were some sort of iron. I saw this as a cheap alternative and bought it, thinking "what's the worst that could happen?" In my previous experience, after you made something in these, you'd let them sit in the fire so that the excess food could burn off. I applied the same thought process to this product and soon found it had melted into the fire! It's made of aluminum, so it's going to melt much much more easily than an iron set would.

Create food fun!

Grandson is a picky eater. With some minor supervision he will be able to grill his own cheese sandwich. I bought the Campfire Treats cookbook to compliment the cooker. The pictures and recipes are easy and will work well with this cooker.

Reminds me of the good ol' days

These are for my dad's birthday, as he remembers back in the day when he was younger with some friends around a campfire making cherry pie desserts with them. They came pretty quickly, and looked exactly like the photos, and do not seem like cheap material. Only thing would be they really need to relook at packaging...... a huge box for 2 x small and thin items.... wasteful.

Coating comes off

One use product. Returned my first one straight out of the box because the non stick coating came off with its first wash. Then eventually took my two brand new ones out and made grilled cheese over the fire. The sandwiches came out perfect but then with one wipe to clean them up the coating came off. Garbage product now

Great item

Love this camp cooker. Used it to make pilsubry cinamon rolls for breakfast and they were delicious! The only thing is if you are cooking on direct fire they do get pretty black. We used our coleman stove.

We've been using this brand of aluminum cookers for my entire life and my entire family loves them!! Very durable! 100 times better than any cast iron cookers, as they are extremely heavy and tend to cause burnt food quite often once they're hot!

Only came as 1/2!

I waited quite a while for this, it arrived after my camping trip and thank goodness. It only came as one piece of the pan. It doesn't close like a bush pie maker should. It is just a half of it. I am very frustrated with this product and the waste it was.
