Very poor pick resistance. Good visual deterrent, and looks much better than it is. What I expected.

Looks great on dark wood, but do not use this for genuine security concerns. It will work well to keep less-than-crafty children out of a medicine cabinet or gun rack.

Perfect replacement for my old cabinet

I had bought a used wooden gun cabinet from the 70's that had 2 of these locks on it, but the guy I bought it from didn't have the keys. These locks were a perfect replacement, and are keyed-alike so the door and drawer locks both take the same key!

Near-perfect match to legacy "Yale" liquor cabinet locks.

The media could not be loaded. Soo easy to install/replace old locks. Even used old screws. Long story short- bought a 150 year old house. Wet bar had locks on cabinets, no keys. Locks were "Yale" but no serial numbers to re-order keys. Bought three of the "KA" version and was a near perfect fit. The barrel is slightly smaller (see picture). I will notice it tomorrow but probably never after that. The keys are universal for all three-- probably all "KA" I am guessing... I kind of think if the kids are savvy enough to buy one of these to get a key, they're probably ready to get into the cabinet (they're 3-7 years old now).

Identical replacement for my previous cabinet locks

Exactly what I was hoping for. I was replacing 3 old cabinet locks for which I had lost the keys. These locks did indeed come keyed alike, which I was very worried about. While they are an identical replacement for the locks my cabinet was made with in the 90's, the quality does seem to be a bit less. They appear to be made of cast metal with a brass finish. The finish has been applied over the casting and there are some rough spots and imperfections. Looking at the old ones, it was more of a mirror finish that was well smoothed and polished. Overall, I can't complain at this price. Even the screw holes align with the old ones.

It works & it looks good. I'm happy!

It was a breeze to install it into the drawer that had this type of lock in it before I owned the file cabinet. But the drawer that I had to drill wasn't as easy. I did it but it was nerve racking, if you mess up the hole you are just screwed because you can't redo it. So a template would have been very helpful. I was successful and it works. It would work better if I had placed it a 1/8 of an inch closer to the top edge. So I wish the bolt was longer. It's finish was horriblly cheap looking but I was antiqeing it any way so it looks great now.
