Not what they used to be
I use these bits to engrave glass and I’ve used genuine Dremel bits for years. They used to come in a two pack, with one pencil tip bit and one ball tip bit. I prefer the wider engraving of the ball tip bit and so just threw the pencil tip bits away. Recently Dremel changed their packaging and now just sell the ball tip bit. Since that’s all I use I bought a bunch. I used them today. My impression is that they just aren’t as abrasive as the same bits in the old two pack. At the end of my day today I realized that I’d gone through five of the new bits and in the past I would probably have used two of the old bits. Before writing this review, I looked to see if anyone else made something similar. I’m not seeing anything so I’m going to have to buy more of these. Maybe I got a bad batch, but honestly five new bits equaling two of the old. If the quality improves with my next purchase I will definitely revise this review.

Works on steel.
I bought this to mill down a special drill bit in order to fit into a hex shank impact driver that was too deep for a standard bit size. The locking mechanism in the shank were ball bearings that retracts via telescopic chuck. Needless to say, I wasn’t sure if any of the available diamond dremel bits would do the job but I’m glad I started off with the brand name. Excuse the amateur job (I was just holding the bit in my left and dremel on my right attempting to freehand it.) but see the pictures to see how well it worked. At 35,000r using Dremel 4300.

Super duper
Used this to widen a hole in a porcelain sink. Worked like a charm and only took a few minutes to do the work.

Cool
Honestly speaking when I ordered 21 of these last week, I was a bit skeptical about what I was going to actually receive in the mail... I got EXACTLY what I ordered. I used the bit to to do a couple hours worth of glass etching and it worked great! I compared it to my other 7103's I purchased from Sears, and it is a actual bit!! However, there is one thing I did not like. The Seller just threw these bits in a Manila envelope, and shipped em off to me..They could have at least taped them together, or put them in a little 2"x'3" ziplock baggy.... Other than that, I will be purchasing more of these!

Looks like great quality but I recieved the wrong size shank.
Great ball point but received the wrong size shank. I ordered a 3/34" shank and was sent a standard 1/8" shank. Will still use but only because I have other projects on the go.

Works and works well!
Not much needed to say here. It works for applications where you are cutting ceramics or other metals very well, considering the price. Unless you are doing professional work, the cost to function ratio of this little bit is hard to argue with! Would recommend.

Dremel be and is good but way overpriced
You can get these bits for less than 50cents from China This bit lasts longer but it's not worth the price
