Interesting variation

This has a different shape than standard splints. It works well enough, but the tongues that wrap around the top of your finger kind of project out to the side, and the other fingers rub against them a bit. I think over a long span of time, you might end up with raw spots. You could probably just put tape around them to eliminate the sharp edges.

Comfortable splint to wear . Allows the unsplinted parts of the hand to remain usable

Great splint, protected my finger well

I had a particularly brutal finger break and this splint ended up being my favorite of the roughly 7 designs I tried. It covers it all the way around, so it really limits the risk of accidentally knocking the finger against something. It also provides comfortable padding that kept my finger completely restricted from moving without cutting off the circulation.

Bar is too high

Insty splint

Purchased this item at WalMart for about $3.50. Keeps finger well aligned and well protected from bumps. Shorter one allows unincumbered bending of pip joint. The longer one is good for nighttime use as it does not move and feels comfortable for sleep. As expected, it is a little cumbersome when working around the house.
