goodbye skinned up knuckles

works great. even when the belt gets twisted. no more jacking car up and removing splash guard to get belt on crank pulley or lower accessories pulleys. makes an awesome back scratcher between jobs also.

Can't be worse than using a bent coat hanger

I've had some problem with belts on my 1990 350SDL over the last couple of years and have ended up changing them twice where it stranded me (pro tip: always keep a spare belt in the trunk of a 30-year-old car). I've used a coat hanger to thread the belt up from the bottom and over the tensioner both times with less than satisfactory results. It works, but only with a lot of effort and frustration and is just barely long enough to reach. This tool is a lot longer and fits perfectly into the area I need to reach down and thread the belt. I haven't actually used it yet but it should make the job much, much easier next time. I wish there wouldn't be a next time, but with this car, I have to be prepared for it.

Very Handy for Belt Changes

Sturdy, cheap, does the job. I didn't think this tool would come in hand like it did; replacing my belt in such a confined space was frustrating enough as it is with the help of this tool, I can't imagine trying to change a belt without one. A definite must have around the garage if you're someone who likes to do their own work for a fraction of the cost to take your car to a mechanic or dealership.

Very flimsy

This item did not hold up under pressure well at all. It bent with a little bit of pressure. The idea of the tool was spot on, but the material that it was made of was too flexible.

Perfect. not a tool youll use all the time. but when you do, its perfect.

Disappointed

First thing i noticed was that the fork at the end was not bent square. The tooth was bent at a slight outward angle, when it should be square to the shaft. As it is, belt can slip as fork is bent down. Instead of returning, I will have to heat end and bend to proper angle.
