This is by far the easiest way to stretch you watercolor paper
Staples go in nice and easy, keep the paper in place when its dry, easy to take off.

It is sturdy, lightweight and cost is reasonable.

Sturdy but dented.
It came with a dent along the edge, and only half wrapped in plastic. The box was fine. Not a big deal, so I kept it, but disappointing that it was shipped that way. I had gotten the last one. I haven't used it to know how well it works or how long it will last.

Nice board to tape my paoer to when painting
Not sure how this would work for actually stretching watercolor paper. I can't see stapling paper to this. I just wanted a lightweight board to tape my paper down when I am painting. This works ok.

Must have for water color
This is my second Grafix board so I will have one when staying in summer cabin. I saturate my water color paper in a tub of water then staple it to the board and let it dry. After drying it will not buckle when I re-wet when painting.

Corners break easily
It arrived with two of the corners broken. The other corners don’t seem that sturdy either. Bits keep flaking off like pieces of styrofoam. It breaks off easily. It seems fine except the corners. It would be great if they made the corners sturdier. I used it anyway as I needed it for a project. Paint also adheres to the absorbent surface, which doesn’t wipe off, but can lift when you lay down a new project.

Used For Watercolor Paintings
A nice, lightweight board for stretching watercolor paper. It initially holds staples well, but over time they come out more easily. The old heavy particle boards that you would gesso held up much longer, but were more awkward to use. This is a good size for medium size paintings worked with on a drafting table. ~ Kort

perfect for carrying around!
I got this board for my watercolor class as I intend to bring it with me from school to home. I used plywood as a board before and on top of being ridiculously heavy to carry around, it left marks and stains on the back of my watercolor sheet and smells awful when wet. This board is amazingly sturdy for how light it feels, and has no odor when I wet it. It can take staples and I have seen my classmates staple their papers on to the board over and over again without ruining the structure. However, I am too protective of my things and have devised a system of binder clips and waterproof-ed popsicle sticks to stretch my paper instead of staples. It works really well and I am so happy to have shelled out a few more bucks to get this board definitely worth the extra $$.

Great Board, poorly packaged
This board was not put in a box, but rather cardboard held toether with tape in the middle. The board has more dings and notches in it than I can count. It came in pretty good time, and I don't have time to return it, so I will be keeping it...but it's disappointing...

Great for stretching watercolour paper! I bought two and cut one in half, so I can stretch one half sheet and two quarter sheets at the same time.

This is probably Gatorfoam board which is what is recommended for stretching watercolour paper. It is light and waterproof so works very well for this purpose.
