Great game but -very- Euro-centric
First, let me say that my family LOVES the Similo History game in terms of game play. It's very fun and super quick which makes it a perfect filler game to add a bit of fun in between our homeschool lessons. That said, I'm very upset by the lack of black people in the deck. There literally isn't a single black person! There are so many to choose from too: Katherine Johnson, George Washington Carver, Martin Luther King Jr., Harriet Tubman, Queen Nzinga, Frederick Douglas... the list goes on and on. It seems to me like this is a pretty awful omission and could be remedied by creating a new deck adding in 5-10 more cards representing POC. The current deck has 22 white people, 3 Asian, 2 Middle Eastern (-ish? Tutankhamun and Saladin), and 3 Native Americans. That's pretty heavily Euro-centric. It is a very fun game and my children have been picking up on the little bit of historic knowledge this game provides. I just think it could do so much more and be so much better with more diverse representation and that's why I can't give it 5 stars.

great little game
I would much rather play Similo than Mysterium. There's hardly any setup, very little downtime, it takes up less table space, and it comes in a small box. There are different Similo decks; History seems fine to me, but I also like Fables and Animals.

Super fun
Really fun game. Neat for teaching kids about synonyms and antonyms.

Need a Christmas gift idea? Here you go!
From the perspective of game design/cash grab it’s BRILLIANT. Literally, if the publishers can get the rights, they can reproduce this 30 card game into just about any theme they want. The most expensive part is the art (which is amazing, admittedly) but otherwise it’s rather cheap to produce...And it’s barely a game! I can see Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, etc...the possibilities are endless! You’ll find WAY more game in something like Love Letter and for the same price (though I do suggest getting the pricier deluxe copy of Love Letter instead!). Or, just get Guess Who because that’s basically what this is in card form. However! While I gave it only two stars I do have to say it’s probably great for families with young kids. Especially since you can grab a “fables” themed (Disney-esque ) deck which they’ll surely find more appealing than the “history” themed deck. I’m not sure if the other themes are the same but I was pleasantly surprised to find that down the side of each card there was a short synopsis of the historical character. I will say that for $10 you can opt for this watered down version of Dixit and/or Mysterium type games all without the pomp. For that, I say it’s worth the purchase. Because you can choose a theme, they make for great, cheap gifts.

Great Coop
Really fun, easy game. Round one, remove one card; Round two, remove two etc. Round four is the clincher!

Fun the first couple times you play
Had hoped this would keep us interested and would be educational. It was the first couple times we played. There needs to be many more cards.

So confusing
This game is a head scratcher. It’s too complicated! But the cards are nice and have a little bit of info On the historical figures so at least there’s a little value.

It is ok
It is a bit boring. Once you get the point, it is basic.
