Very fast wine bottle opener

The Houdini is a very quick step, back and forth motion, to remove corks from wine bottles. I am a professional bartender, and when I do private weddings, I open up to 60 bottles per night. My older version of Houdini lasted me over 6 years of heavy abuse. After braking, I ordered this version. It has worked OK but I can feel the sturdiness of my older version is NOT as sturdy as the newer version. I open bottles, but I do it much more slowly and carefully, as I feel the strength is not there. So far, so good, but I will not go as fast and recklass as I was before.

This was my second one ! I used the first for 10 years , and used it a lot! It finally gave up and i immediately purchased another !

Well built

I purchased my first Houdini Opener thirty years ago. It’s still working. I bought the second on as a gift.

difficult to use

Over the past 30 years I have bought 6or 7 rabbit type openers. This is the worst. First, it does not always screw into the cork as far as it should. Second, and most important, once the screw is in, it is so difficult to pull out the cork that I have to put the bottle between my knees to get enough leverage. This gets a good laugh from my guests! I open (or try) about 3 bottles a week and am sometimes forced to use another type of opener. Since I have had this opener for several months, I cannot return it. At this point I don't know what my next rabbit I buy unless I assume that the more expensive rabbits are better.
