Great wheels for convenience

I ordered these wheels to put on my 30 gallon touchless kitchen trashcan. Being elderly I can pull the trashcan and very easily from the wall to empty the bag and re-bag it great and expensive feature to add on my touchless kitchen, trash, cans.

Not made as well as they used to

We had an early iTouchless can that we bought around 2008. It lasted until 2021 when we bought this model. The lid motor failed on this one 13 months after we bought it. Just outside the warranty. I bought a replacement lid from iTouchless in May 2022. The power connector broke off inside the lid in December. They are replacing it under warranty, but two lids in 20 months of ownership. We did have to replace the lid on the original can in 2016, but that was our own doing. We threw away a couple of things that caused a chemical reaction in the can and the heat melted the lid. The replacement lid for the original died in 2021 which prompted our buying this can. The motor on the lid when we got this can was weaker than the original. It opened slower and seemed to be struggling. The second lid had a better motor, but still open slower than the original. The sensor on the original was better at detecting motion over the lid. It sometimes opened if you walked past the can. With this one you sometimes have to wave your hand a few times over the lid to get it to open. It iTouchless wasn't replacing the lid under warranty I think we'd be thinking about something else to replace this can.

Not dog proof

My dog just knocked the trash bin over and the lid comes right off. I recently broke the auto open and close by accident because I slammed it shut while trying to close it faster to keep the dog out. I have since hired a trainer If you don’t have a dog it’s a great trash bin and really does seal out ordors. Maybe good if you have a very small dog. I have a yellow lab.

No need for batteries

I bought this because I could plug it in. Now opening the lid fifty times a day isn't a problem as there is no battery to go dead. The lock feature is simply a movable device that slides over the door lid to keep pets from opening the lid when you aren't around. That's a nice feature. There is also an odor device you put into the back of the lid that controls smells. This is replaceable as needed. This is the best trash can yet for my kitchen. CAUTION: When you go to a friend's house, the trash lid won't open no matter how long you hold trash in front of it. ???? I know 'cause I do it all the time.

Best garbage can if you have pets

I have never spent more than $20 on a garbage can in my life. I could never fathom spending so much. Then I got a cat that answers the question "what if instead of Tom Cruise, Mission Impossible starred a raccoon?" He can get into absolutely everything, could lift the lid of our previous kitchen garbage can, can sniff out crumbs from a mile away. I knew I'd need to invest in order to stop him from strewing garbage all over the kitchen. I can't begin to describe how much better this garbage can has made my life. The pet-proof clip is sturdy, so he can't lift the lid, and the carbon filters capture all the smell so he hardly ever even tries. I confidently can go to bed or work or leave the room knowing that he absolutely cannot get into the garbage. I feel a sense of accomplishment knowing that I've bested this adorable little demon cat and that joy comes back every time I throw something out. If I had to have one critique, the motion sensor is good but not great. Sometimes it takes a few tries of waving my hand over the sensor for the lid to open, and sometimes when I'm closing the lid the sensor goes off and it opens back up. Otherwise this might be the greatest thing to ever come into my life.

Lid doesn't open after few months of use & poor warranty support.

The lid stopped working. Not reliable. Reached out to customer support and they want 20 dollars admin fee to process a warranty replacement.

Very satisfied

Motion detector doesn't work if placed under the counter. Had to cover it and we're using the open/close button. Every small disagreement though. The size is awesome, it's very rare, an automatic trash can that size, and it's perfect for us.
