Performs as advertised

I used this to seal up a stainless trough I needed to use for a boil tank during the rust bluing process. I boiled water all day and the silicone worked perfectly. Very strong bond

Was easy to apply.

This was easy to apply which indicates to me that it wasn't just some old, unused inventory. It is definitely high temperature. Our local supplier has it under " high temp" silicone. So now I know where to buy locally I won't be needing this again since it was twice the price of a local supplier.

NOT a replacement for PERMATEX ULTRA GREY!

Do not purchase this product as a suitable sub or a replacement for Permatex Ultra Grey. This product may be fine for other applications but to use it on a performance engine to seal the intake to the heads/block I wouldn't recommend it! It dries to a different consistency than the Permatex Ultra Grey and didn't work for me and thus caused me to have to remove the intake and replace the intake gaskets and reinstall using the Permatex Ultra Grey with a new set of gaskets. This cost a lot of extra labor and time to order the special gaskets and wait for them to ship etc. This was a costly trial of a different product for me and i wanted to hopefully save someone else the same problem!

Used on generator exhaust extender flex pipe

Thinned and applied outside. Has stayed sticky where it does not get very hot from exhaust going through flex pope.

A high quality RTV in a caulk-gun tube!

I will go with (and agree with) the many excellent and more technical reviews posted. This seems to be an excellent product, comparable to the other big-hitter' products. But, I love using an RTV in a caulk-gun tube!! Way easier than a roll tube. Also this big size is a bit more economical. It's on Prime, was as described, and came on time. So, I was happy. :) This was my first time to use this product, so I can't speak to how it holds up. My confidence is high, however. Hope this helps! :)

Yep, it's RTV

No surprises really, it's RTV just as expected. About the only surprise here is that you'll quickly discover it won't come with the nozzle 9 times out of 10, so you may as well buy one along with this purchase. It doesn't come in a box or anything, so I'm guessing the nozzle fall offs easily and gets lost all throughout Amazon warehouses.

I ordered this along with a couple other things and it came to my door the next morning. Very pleased with shipping speed and it worked well for what I needed it for. I used it for thread repair on a 2 stroke cylinder head, holding up good so far! Have ran the bike a decent bit since still no issues.
