As described, except...

As described except the center hole will fit only a 1/2 inch pvc pipe. I intend to use two joined by a 2 foot pvc pipe to hold up my sprinkler intake pipe in the lake dropped down about 14 inches from the surface with polyester rope.. This 5 x 11 inch float volume should be 0.12 cu ft. and have 7.5 lbs. buoyancy each. My 1 1/2 inch intake pipe should weigh 7 lbs. max with water and check valve and screen so I think I'm good. Also since one end of my intake pipe in buried at the shore, the intake may only be about 3.5 or 4 lbs. I guess that's why those duck decoys can hold them up. Will test buoyancy in the pool. Update: Testing in the pool, the float will hold 7 lbs. max each.

Good quality floats

We use these as crown line (anchor release) buoys on a treasure diving vessel on the Treasure Coast of Florida. Nice floats at a good price.

They are extremely hard and they work perfect for my application

Used 2 pairs for outriggers for my canoe. these are not solid plastic, but compressed foam. They are extremely hard and they work perfect for my application. With 2 on each side of the canoe I was able to stand up without a problem.
