I'm happy with the muzzle overall. It is very similar to those used by vets, with standard woven nylon straps, fabric construction, and quick release buckle that can be tightened. This muzzle is only for short duration wear to prevent a dog from biting for procedures, not for long-term use! We use it for nail trimming at home which works great. The only thing I am disappointed in is the unevenness of the fabric. It still fits my dog and gets the job done, but it bothers me. It may just be a defect but there are no returns offered so (as someone else said) I'm stuck with it. Luckily it fits my dog perfectly otherwise I would be extremely unhappy that I couldn't return it if it didn't fit. My dog is a chihuahua/rat terrier mix, 10lbs. Could be too big for a small Chihuahua, or too small for a dog that doesn't have a narrow muzzle. If you're unsure I'd suggest finding a seller that offers returns as measurements sometimes aren't always accurate.

I was able to give a nail trim to my little land shark!

Oh my gosh! This was so easy to put on and I was able to give my little 6 pound Chihuahua a nail trim! I didn’t think this was going to be possible and I would not have been able to do it with this muzzle. It was so easy to put on and kept her vicious little teeth from piercing my flesh!! This is the same quality as my vet has. We still had to wrap her in a blanket to keep her from flailing like a shark out of water. But I can’t say enough how much this muzzle saved my sanity!

Can be slipped off

My chihuahua is able to take his front paw and push it off no matter how tight I make it. Maybe his mouth is too small. Not sure!

If you babes doesn't enjoy combing w/o being mad, try this!

I cried and cried not wanting to use a muzzle on my rescue who rescued me really. But after a few bites, we used it and Now we don't have to use until doing head and neck area I'm adement that sweet Bubbie will be trained enough to know mommy is helping him with NO INTENTIONS OF HURTING. THANK YOU!

Our chihuahua has a teeny tiny snout, about an inch long. He sometimes snaps in stressful situations though we are working on training for that. In the meantime we use this muzzle to avoid snaps at the vet. The nylon muzzles in the store were all too big for him. The vet used this brand on him and it fit well and he seemed to even calm down a bit. I took a picture of the tag to get the brand for myself. He can take treats and still breathe through his mouth if he needs but cannot snap. This is best for short supervised periods. If left alon the dog will be able to remove it because it’s just one strap that goes behind their ears.

Fits Good

It fits really well and is easy to put on. I use it when I take my 9lb Chihuahua to the Veterinarian. He is old and in pain so he lashes out in the way of bitting and this stops that from being an issue.
