My kid LOVES this set!

My son really struggles to play independently and there are no toys or activities that he ever wants to do for any length of time. I bought this on a whim, because I thought he may enjoy it , and the first time playing with it , he sat rather quietly and very focused for upwards of 45 MINUTES and played independently. He has now played with it dozens more times and LOVES it. It does tend to make a bit of a mess, but we just do it in the kitchen and grab the vacuum when he's done! This is some of the best money I have ever spent!

My kid loves it, but there are some design issues

Overall fun kit. My kids love making bricks and loading the sand in the truck. My only complaint is I thought the yellow case was awesome because it was a storage case. However, there is a gap at the bottom of the case so if you pick it up by where the box shows the handle (which there isn’t actually a handle it’s just on the cardboard part of the box you discard) sand spills out the bottom. So you have to carry and store on its side which is a bummer. Also the pole they have to attract the wrecking ball to doesn’t snugly lock in place so it just falls over a lot. My kids don’t seem to mind too much, but it’s annoying.

Learning about demolition

This was my 3 1/2 year old grandsons first kinetic sand kit. He absolutely loves it. So does his dad. The wrecking ball was an awesome addition. He loved the feel of the sand and making things with it then demolishing it and starting all over again. We’ve bought most of the kits since. Tried other kinds of sand but nothing compares to kinetic sand.
