Works great for peeling tomatoes

My husband likes his salad tomatoes peeled and it‘s been always a struggle for me to peel ripe tomatoes but this tool does it magically. Worth the extra buck spent on a serrated peeler. One star taken off for an extra large handle. Not sure what was the reason for it besides wasting extra plastic. On the photo I’m showing it in my hand next to a regular peeler I have.

BIG Veggie Peeler

This peeler does an excellent job peeling any item. Its a breeze peeling through tough butternut squash skin, yet delicate enough to peel apples and cucumbers. The blade is very sharp, serrated and swivels efficiently over bumpy produce. As noted by other reviewers care should be used while peeling as the blade is very sharp indeed! It's so efficient that it does not take much flesh off the item you are peeling...now that is a good peeler! The pointed tip at the top of the peeler is superb at removing eyes from potatoes--a little feature that shouldn't be forgotten nor neglected. I REALLY love that feature! The peeler is beautiful too...yes it's just a peeler, but you can't deny how aesthetically appealing it is. My only gripe is that the handle is really big, too big for me. I had my husband (the designated potato and carrot peeler) try this out and he felt the same way. Regardless of it's size, I still plan on using this item but I will use extra care. Honestly, it does take a lot less effort to peel produce with this peeler-- I just wish it was smaller, hence the 4 star review versus the 5 star review . .

Product came unsealed and damaged

Purchased one for myself and my mom; one came sealed in packaging (as seen in photo), and the second came (likely as a return), unsealed and scuffed. Not happy, as this is not the first time I’ve had this happen. Works just fine, but when you’re buying new, you expect it to come in new, unopened condition.
