This is my new goto

I have been wearing red lipstick for years but recently wanted to try and find a long wear lip shade. I looked up reviews from beauty bloggers online and it led me to purchase this one. I LOVE this lip crayon! I use this everyday and it has become my goto. No more applying lipliner then lipstick then blotting then sealing. I just swipe this on and go! I looked up application tips and this is my method now: I apply my foundation to my lips, then apply powder on my lips to set, then apply the crayon. I only reapply after I eat because it does wear off around the center but the line is good. I also prefer this crayon to the other long wear lipglosses because it does not dry out my lips and I prefer the more matte look. It has a moisturizing sheen but not shiny. I also feel it is easier to remove than the long wear lipglosses because it comes off without scrubbing my lips. I do use a double cleanse method, i oil cleanse, remove this with a warm damp cloth then I cleanse with my face wash, usually applied with a face brush. I works great. At night I do moisturize my lips with a lip balm. I am in my 40s, so I do have fine lines around my lips and this has minimal (if any) bleeding into my fine lines. If I do I know I need to moisturize more and usually use a gentle scrub that night. But the bleeding is minimal and no one but me notices. That’s how close you have to look. I also like that the color does not wear off on the more inner part of my lips as easily as some have in the past. I believe I have found my new goto and forever lip color!

Long lasting color!

This lip crayon is slightly dry, which I thought would be a deterrent at first, but after a year of reorders, this is one of my all-time favorites now. Plus, I am astounded by how many compliments I get on this shade (60 Accept A Dare). I have what I call “pewter & pearl” hair at the age of 53 and a pale complexion, so this color really pops, but isn’t too overpowering. If you’re wondering if you’d like this product, I say pick a color and try it. I’m sure glad I took the chance and Amazon auto-order means I never have to rush out to get a new tube, which is awesome because oftentimes I find the slot empty for this shade!

So so

I’m not really that impressed by this product. It’s not completely transfer resistant and it feels somewhat sticky once it’s on. It definitely does not last 8 hours…maybe half that. The color is nice, but if you plan to wear it all day, you’ll need to reapply it throughout the day.

Long lasting wear

I found this little lip crayon through tik tok and I instantly fell in love. It’s so smooth going on your lips and it lasts all day! If you’re at your job for 12 hrs like me and need something long lasting this is it. Oh and this color paired with a little setting powder to give it all the nude vibes ????

Lead the way- love it

Love this lipstick! It’s so easy to put on, creamy, doesn’t come off easily and it’s at a reasonable price! I use this lipstick more than my expensive ones, I like it so much. I bought 5 different colors and lead the way is my favorite color. It’s an everyday color but also romantic to wear even for a date.

I love this lipstick. It lasts most of the day and the color choice is great. My only complaint is I bought two and both were missing the sharpener on the end. Still I recommend this lipstick.

MY NEW FAVORITE LIP COLOR!

I don't like to think about reapplying lip color throughout the day. This is my go-to. I have three colors in rotation now. It stays put for hours, doesn't dry out my lips, and if it's completely dry, won't transfer to cups, silverware.

great lipstick, however it's not as long lasting

It lasts most of the day, but for someone who drinks a lot of liquids, it's staying power isn't great. It almost appears to be an ombre color after you have say drank a coke, especially using a straw. The shade is a nice rosy/nudish color. I'm not sure how it looks w/ red though. I tend to only swipe on lipstick in the morning, but if I have a date or something to go to in the evening/night I'll swipe some more

Good product but comes unsealed

I have been noticing a pattern, every Maybelline product I buy from Amazon.ca comes unsealed - like there's no tamperproof seal. Someone in the warehouse could theoretically open it and sample it and close it, I mean. You'd not know without a seal. Mine looked completely unused and untouched. Just a fair warning to anyone who would not feel safe buying this. This has been every Maybelline lipstick I've purchased in general here, including a totally different lipstick - not the crayon - also unsealed.
