Leaking sand

I really like these soft dumbbells. They feel good to hold onto, and it's actually been fun using them for my PT exercises. However, the iron sand inside the dumbbells started to leak out about six weeks after I ordered them from Amazon. I first noticed this when using the dumbbells while lying down; sand started to drift down onto my face. The sand is very fine and, therefore, harder to see. I found a fine layer of grit on the shelf where I store (only) the dumbbells. I cleaned the shelf, kept storing only the dumbbells there, and the grit was back a day later. I've looked the dumbbells over and can't find a clear hole from where they are leaking, so I'm wondering whether the sand is so small that it's coming through the "fabric." I'm conflicted about whether I should order another set, in case the set I received was the odd dud; I'm waffling because I'd feel self-scammed if I bought another set that had the same problem.

Nice to take a walk with these

They are so much nicer than hard dumbbells or weights. Just perfect for a walk.

perfect for use on a rebounder, or if you have carpal tunnel

I bought these exclusively for use on my "urban rebounder" - a.k.a. an indoor trampoline. 1 lb weights are recommended for rebounder workouts because they are "heavier" when you jump due to the complementary gravitational forces. Since they're sand-filled, if I drop one while jumping it's no big deal (though I haven't dropped one yet!). The straps are slightly elastic and just the right tightness to help keep them on my hands while jumping. I also happen to have carpal tunnel issues, and cannot hold on to traditional dumbbells without discomfort or pain. These are so soft and so light, it's no problem to hold them, and again, the straps are perfect so that I do not have to grip too hard. All in all, I'm very pleased with these.

So soft; easy on the hands

I was using bottles of water which was hard to hold. These are nice & soft; much easier on the hands. Will purchase heavier ones once I reach my next goal

Very nice, very comfortable to use! Pleasant grip, kind of squishy which feels very natural. RECOMMENDED!

These are so comfortable to use! They have a very pleasant feeling when gripped (your hand goes through the black strap). I use them for simple wrist rotation exercises, never any worry of dropping them. Very nice concept. Colorful too. I like them!
