Very nice staple gun
Drove 1.000s of staples on a project that I had. Required about 70 psi to drive 1-1/2 galvanized staples. Ran flawlessly with the exception of a couple of double fires, even when the trigger was set to single fire. For stapling hardware cloth you need to angle the gun about 45 degrees to get the safety tip to allow the gun to fire, which is not a problem, just takes a bit of technique to find the sweet spot. I like the fact that is made in Taiwan and not China. Quality is very good.

Great tools with a great price
I've used Hitachi tools for many years and think they're some of the best out there. Heck I've had a Hitachi framing nailer for 20 years and its still working great. Now I know that these are manufactured by Metabo, But everything about them is Hitachi; same look, same styling, same components ( why the name change, I don't know ). Nonetheless, this gun has performed to my expectations and the price was right! And in these days where everything costs 10X more than it used to, this was a good value for a good product.

Great value
Easy to use, lightweight yet it feels well built. Only jammed once, open the front (a clip) and the nail jumped out!! It fits 5-6 sizes of brads.

Customer service disappointing
The gun itself is nicely made and quite light, a Japanese product but made in Taiwan. I have not had it long enough to comment on its durability but it is easy to use, and I use nail guns and staplers professionally and have done so for over thirty years. Unfortunately it arrived without the little plastic nose caps that are referred to on page 18 of the manual. These are designed to protect soft surfaces when shooting nails. I contacted customer service at Metabo and asked if they could supply them, as they are very small and could be mailed in a regular envelope. Nope, I get the standard reply about returning it to the seller or to the manufacturer. It really is not worth going to the aggravation of all that just for a small item, but is indicative of the fact that customer support seems to be limited to "send it back if you have a problem".

Managed to make exactly 1 staple before the unit broke
I was excited to receive this staple gun for an upcoming 600sqft underlay job. The price was outstanding, the brand name was familiar and the reviews were fantastic! Unfortunately, the gun staple magazine broke after only 1 staple!!! I loaded a brand new set of staples and after the very first staple hit, the spring for the magazine came loose. When I opened the magazine to see what happened, I tried to reattach the spring only to slice my thumb in the process! Also, the gun was covered in some sort of sticky oily residue. I immediately processed a return and purchased a Bostitch staple gun which I likely should have just done if the first place!

Great value brad nailer.
I own a Hitachi brad nailer and have found it to be extremely reliable. This Metabo brad nailer superficially appears the same but is more lightly constructed with plastic parts that were steel on the hitachi. The one thing I find very annoying is that it is sold on Amazons Australian site yet is in USA spec. In Australia the default pneumatic fitting is a 3/8" Nitto style fitting yet this comes supplied with the US 1/4" size nitro style fitting. It is an easy change that only costs a few dollars. but should not be necessary.

Other users reckon these staplers are the bees knees
I saw enough videos to know the Matabo (formerly Hitachi) stapler is one of the best I can buy. I haven't used it yet and I will but only to cover myself under warranty. The price was acceptable. The Metabo is not cheap but you get what you pay for and it really wasn't expensive. My last stapler stopped working and try as I may I could not find anything wrong with it. Blowed if I'm going to buy another cheapie. I look forward to using the Metabo on my next wood project.

Serious tool
15 g nails are about 1/8"., which secure trim really well. The lowest PSI I can seem to use is 40 PSI and using the manual set on the tip, I still can't get the nails flush, but that's OK as I plan to fill the holes. It's not a "fine" tool, in that it fits a big hand, and doesn't fit smaller nails, such as when you want to secure softer woods or smaller pieces of wood. But if you want to secure trim and molding once and have it stay, this is the tool. PS as someone else said, I'd prefer a starter package of air gun oil and/or a few nails rather than the safety glasses as an add-on.
