The pictures show a female thread. The box i got was male threaded. Not gonna bother returning them because I can use em down the road, just letting others know.

Too soft for hard use!

Buy steel fittings if you use these everyday! I work in a body shop, and use my DA sander EVERY day. I wanted to use a standardized fitting size for everything, (pinstripe remover, DA sanders, paint guns, primer guns,..etc.) I bought these to replace the old non-HVLP fittings the shop had on their air hoses. These are quality made, but wear MUCH too fast when used on pneumatic tools such as sanders. I replaced the fittings on my tools and paint guns at the same time. The one on the DA sander already had to be replaced once, while the one on my primer gun is still working fine. I think the sander being the most used tool, and having the most stress on the hose wears these brass fittings FAR too fast. I was having issues a few days after putting one of these on my sander. The brass was starting to "mushroom" out from use and was difficult to even remove from the air coupler. Bottom line in my opinion: Buy steel fittings for hard/commonly used tools.

Hi Flow Fittings are great....BUT

... you need to make sure your compressor can keep up. Everybody raves about how great these fittings are, but they don't all tell the whole story. The increase torque and flow you get with using these fittings are great, and I did notice a big difference. One must keep in mind though, that you will now be drawing more air from your air source. This means that your compressor better be able to keep up or you'll be pausing and waiting longer for it to fill up! My advice is to just change the fittings on the tools that you NEED the higher flow with. Since the quick-connect is backwards compatible with the standard Industrial fittings, you can leave the other tools alone.

Awesome! Necessary for all of your high-demand air tools!

At first I thought that these would be all hype, but whenever I got them I changed my mind. The inside diameter of these is absolutely huge compared to anything else that I have used. I use these in conjunction with a small length of leader hose so that the coupler will not wear as fast as directly putting onto the air tool. Man, you want to talk about performance out of these! The first one I put on was on my 1/2" impact wrench which has a 2" extended anvil. It was almost like the wrench had trouble keeping up with the air supplied to it! These are great, well worth the monies.

Nicely made

They're air fittings, they're made of brass and for a pair, I thought the price was fair. I needed a new air hose so I took the opportunity to replace all my existing fittings and couplers with the V style, brass ones from Milton. Can't say as I can tell a big difference between these and my old fittings from a performance perspective. I will say this, everything works as well as it ever did. Guessing these will last pretty much forever.
