The media could not be loaded. I used a 15 lbs turkey thinking it was going to be to big!! It was not!! You can do bigger!! I will be smoking more stuff

Too long

I like this design and the ease of use - 3-prong hanger is great for holding birds - but for the Oklahoma Joe Drum smoker it is just too long to really work well with the drum smoker design. When hanging chickens - which is what I bought it for - the chickens are resting on or almost resting on the heat distribution plate - so overcooked leg ends and the strings I used to tie the legs were ash both times. I think for this smoker these need to be about 2 inches shorter. Or have longer threads to raise up the tri-hook. This was after only 2 tries. Now the chicken was great both time but I think the next time I will try to put a large onion or a potato at the bottom to raise the chicken up. Are these stainless through and through? Can I just run a large die (tap & die) if I have or can find one another 2+ inches up the shaft to make this more flexible without issue? Would be a 4 or 5 if you could adjust the height of the food more.

Very sturdy

Used it to smoke a 16lb turkey. Worked well and held up just as described. Would definitely recommend this product

Design, Quality & Material seems Exquisite.

Officially I haven't used it yet, I was supposed to use it for Thanksgiving but I chose to prepare my roast pork in the oven instead of deep frying as intended. However I will be using it on Christmas eve for Christmas day to deep fry a roast pork. I gave it 3 stars cause I can appreciate the design, quality & material of the merchandise. In theory I believe I choose the right utensil for my upcoming endeavor. I will update this review once I've officially used this product and it will either reflect an extra 2 stars or possibly a reduction in stars. (Update) As you all can see I previously rated this product as 3 stars now I'm back to give it 5 stars cause I've finally used it and it works marvelously. I deep fried a 10lb pork shoulder over the stove about a little over an hour and this product worked as anticipated. It's also easy to clean & can be used in various different ways that it wasn't intended initially. Love my purchase, you all will definitely be satisfied with this product guaranteed.

Disappointed ????

Although sturdy metal used it suffered same issue as others. Using only a mid sized turkey of 11lbs with nothing to hold the turkey near top the turkey leans forward then it's weight caused it to collapse upon it self. If only they'd be a couple of hooks located few inches below hook to keep the bird upright. I will modify it myself but shouldn't have to do so.

Solid vertical skewers

These vertical skewers are sturdy, relative inexpensive and work very well in my smoker. They will also work on grills providing you don't plan on shutting the lid. I have used them to make Pastor Tacos, and to smoke pork and port tenderloin. They probably will not work on a whole chicken as the chicken cavity is too big. Otherwise if you have a need to stack food items vertically they skewers are for you.

Worked great for deep frying a 15lb turkey.

The media could not be loaded. Came across these while looking for a turkey deep frying rack/hanger. None of the traditional turkey racks would have shipped in time so I purchased this as it was available on prime. This had absolutely no problem holding my 15lb turkey safely and securely, I'm sure it can also hold a bigger bird. I used a second hanger hooked to the first to lower the turkey into the hot oil. Later I used the same method to hang the turkey from a ladder for a few minutes to let excess oil drain out. End result was the best turkey ever. As an added bonus these skewers have many more uses compared to a single use turkey rack. I will be using these again at Christmas to fry the turkey because I can safely lower and remove the turkey from the oil. Note: The hanging pic came out terrible because of the lighting.

Works

It's flat and slightly wide to secure things from spinning, it hooks, and there's a detachable thing at the end that you can remove to skewer items in, then reattach to stop things from falling off. Pretty straightforward. Shame about the price though... such a simple construction shouldn't cost so much. Material is probably around 20% of the total price. Hope to see some competition soon. Giving it 5 stars anyway because this is exactly what I needed.

Worked exactly as expected

Bought this item for the sole purpose of hanging a turkey in my smoker and it did not disappoint. No issues hanging an 11lbs turkey held up well. Saw a review where a guy said it didn't work on his turkey and he must have done it wrong. Will be using this again and again.

Sturdy and easy to use

Worked fantastic with a whole chicken, also used it to skewer some of the trimmed rib meat ends and hang with my ribs and chicken. Very sturdy would recommend.
