Great product
Love the tilted metal dish. Very nice overall! Gives out perfect serving for my cat. I tried others where it was too much food! Lid is not as pet safe as they claim. My smart cat found a way to open it with his nose. So i have to tape one side. My other cat still love to dig in hole with paw and still gets a few kibbles. I wish the digital clock was more visible, i have to lay in front of it to see the time…. Which i need to keep in sinc with other feeder. I also like to put small amount of water in dish so when kibbles come down my cat has to take in extra water too. Perfect since they never drink enough when eating dry food.

Good feeder, questionable design areas
Just received this feeder in the black. Just to preface I have a 3 year old cat who’s always hungry. Last feeder he reached into the shoot and figured out how to get food anytime he wanted more. Good: This feeder makes it far more difficult for cats to reach their paws into the machine. Controls were all very easy to figure out and maneuver. You can easily see how much food is in storage. Solid machine. Bad: The food you put into the big storage area IS NOT sealed very well at all when closed which ultimately means your food won’t stay fresh for long. You can tug on the top of the lid slightly and it reveals a clear opening straight to the food. Lastly, the speaker to the microphone after manual record is low volume and distorted. Bottom line is the design needs an upgrade especially a way to vacuum seal the food into the storage container.

Moose loves his new auto feeder!
I bought this for my cat "Moose" so that I could make sure that he would not miss out on any meals while I was at work. It was super easy to set up and offered a bunch of different settings for portion amounts. The lid locks securely so I don't have to worry about him breaking in and gorging himself. This was the Purr-fect solution.

The best thing about it is the worst thiong about it
The first feeder I bought was great until the company who sold it shut thier webserver down making the phone app useless. I lost control of the feeder because the feeder used wifi to connect to thier webserver then to my phone. No way to make changes or reset the time. This feeder is not controlled by a phone app, as I said, it is the worst and best thing about it. I loved the phone app as it made changing feed times etc a breeze. But this unit will run for years without loosing control of it forcing you to buy a new one. To change any settings you must either lie on the floor to change settings or pick it up, put it on a table, make your changes, then put it back on the floor. A small price to pay for a product that my very well out live your cat or dog. Best for a small dog or two cats. Only way it could possibly be made better is if they had the option to control the feeder via Bluetooth on your phone, which would bypass the wifi connection and the company's web server. Great product, I highly reccomend it. My cat likes it too.

Does the job
We have 2 adult cats. I am not going to sit here and say they love it ..they are only cats, but I will say the wife and I LOVE it. Load it and we are good to go for 2 to3 weeks

Would work for small dogs, not for big dogs
I bought two of these for my 2 golden retrievers and when I received them I was shocked when I saw how small the bowl was. The manufacture pictures don't do justice so I added some photos of the bowl size, 6 inches wide by 1.5 inches deep. My golden retriever's mouth is about that big! So this product doesn't work for medium to large dogs. I got these for a great deal on black Friday so I decided to keep them and modify. I made a shelf to put the dispenser on so they could dispense the food into a larger bowl. This worked great! With two dispensers and two large dogs there is enough food to last 5 days. Overall, I am happy with the product now and it's been working great. Pros: Reliable (both plug in and battery backup) Easy to use Quiet when running, you only really hear the food falling An empty food indicator that flashes red. A full food indicator that is blue. Lots of portion sizes to ensure you get the exact amount of food dispensed. Cons: Only works for cats or small dogs (less then 20 lbs), unless you modify it ;) Product size dimensions in picture are inaccurate. The dispenser is not 14.06 inches wide, it's about 7 inches wide (see my picture).

Works great.
I use it for my 125 lb German Shepherd who eats too fast and gets himself sick. I have it set up to give 15 portions 6 times a day and it works out great. Lasts almost 5 full days before needing to be refilled.

Great feeder but the instructions need to be updated
This feeder has been great in the month we've had it! No more early morning wake ups, begging for food. The portion sizes are even. There's a few things I would change. The buttons are hard to see because they're white. I Also I found the instructions inaccurate. My cat is on a very specific diet. He gets 60g of food a day. The instructions say that 1 portion is 15g, which is inaccurate. The feeder doesn't measure by weight, so there's no way to ensure that 1 portion is 15g, as all pet food has a different density. 2 portions of my cats food is 15g. I got my kitchen scale out to triple check because I wanted to ensure that we would be sticking to his recommended diet. I would not assume that 1 portion is 15g.

Works well, can sleep later now.
As others have had, our issue was the cat waking us up at 4 and 5 am to be fed. Too save my sanity I thought I had to try something. Our cat took to this easily, my wife recorded her voice calling the cat and when she hears this she just runs downstairs to the feeder. The voice is not very loud and I was concerned that she would not hear it but obviously her ears are better than mine and we have it in the basement and she can hear the voice prompt from a long way away. I set it for 5:30 am and have not been woken up since. I also have a small snack at 12 noon and then another feeding at 6pm. The cat runs every time she hears it. If I have one complaint its the extremely small font used in the instruction manual and the hard to read buttons on the unit. Makes it a bit of a challenge to program it the first time, but once you get thru that it works as it should.

Simple and great working automatic cat feeder
Got this for our cat due to the fact she would beg for food from us very regularly. She still does somewhat, but she understands she's not getting food from us. She more so waits around and books it to the feeder when she hears the food "splash" into the bowl. It works well, and hasn't had any jam ups. We only feed a single portion 4 times a day, setting the portion size and time was very simple. We did measure a portion size roughly, and it seems like it's around 14ml or so. I can't imagine it's going to be flawlessly 15ml every time, but neither is a human scooping food.

Works well but controls are clunky
I was going back and forth between buying a smart feeder I could control with an app or keeping it simple and getting one that had onboard controls only. I ended up going with this one, and now I wish I would've gone with a smart app-controlled feeder. The unit is well-built and works as advertised. But setting up and modifying feeding times is cumbersome. The controls are too low, the marks on the buttons are hard to see. And once you go into the editing mode, it's slow and clunky. Going through each feeding time to edit them is a hassle. Also, a downside I didn't consider is that maybe I want to change feeding times for any reason, and if I didn't memorize what the times were, it's not very simple to check which times are set. Another very specific downside for me but that might be worth mentioning, is that it's not very comfortable for my cat to eat out of the bowl, because of its depth and especially because of how close it is to the machine itself. Cats are delicate in that sense and I would've preferred a design in which a little more space was allowed for the cat to eat comfortably. A final nitpick is that the supply level indicator light is always on and it's very bright. I have to have this in my bedroom and it lights up the whole room at night. Would've been nice to have the option to turn it off. Pros: - Works as advertised, feeds precisely on the clock - Up to 6 meals per day - Solidly built - Holds a huge amount of kibble Cons: - Cumbersome to operate - Bowl is uncomfortable for cats

Easy to use
I bought this feeder so that I won’t need family or friends to check on my car while I’m away on holidays. I also occasionally work Late and without warning so my cat still gets fed and I don’t have to worry. So easy to use. Money definitely well spent.
