odd design

the expected design, and the design of the one to be replaced, worked like most of the door tangs throughout the world, ie, sloped tang or tongue bumps against a fixed metal piece in the door frame, slips behind the stop, engages. But, this one is not that way. the tang part is stationary and the door frame part is backed by two springs and it moves back to allow the tang to get past then snaps forward behind the tang to hold the door closed. installilng this took about and hour as the positioning of the fixed part is tricky and i had to make several shims in addition to those that came with it to make it work. as the shims i made were wood, and the latch was black metal , it does not match. this is a porch screen so not matching is not that big a deal unless you want to be prissy or put some black shoe polish on the brown wood. very annoying installation, but it is done and prob will last a long time

Lanai Door Handle kit

Great handle for the price. I had found that the manufacturer makes multiple sizes now so it was important that I get the sa.e size as original so I don't have to drill any new holes in the lanai door. The only reason I did not give perfect score was due to it being black instead of bronze. Still matches close enough to keep. Happy!

I fixed the screen door myself

Things I never thought I would have to fix, seem to be needing to be fixed, like my screen door handle. This was pretty straight forward since I took the old handle off. Remember the part that makes the push button go through to the locking side can be adjusted by simply cutting it. I did that little by little. Very easy and quick. Locks tight. Job done.

Decent product but not a replacement for my Anderson door

This was a good product but it didn't work as a replacement for my former screen door handle.

Okay product

Used this to replace pieces on my existing door handle. This kits has innards that are all plastic, cheaply made, but we were able to combine the 2 doors handles (our old and this new kit) and repair the door handle. Wouldn't recommend this as a complete door handle. Probably would break pretty quick as all the pieces inside are plastic.

cheap overpriced product. Screws are too short nipples are too short made and designed in China

Unfortunately this product is a waste of money and a waste of my precious time! No I have to package everything up drive my butt to return it. It’s a horrible product, The screws are too short, The nipple sticking out of the handles are too short, that design of the actual lock is done without any brains. Don’t waste your precious time unless you’re really bored and want to get mad at a company for producing subpar products for ridiculous prices
