Easy install and good looking

Very impressed with the ease ventilation, the ease of set up once it's installed, and how it looks. We'll see how it makes it through the winter… However, I really do think this is a great device so far.

works up to a point

I put it on my screen door for about 4 weeks. It fails to recoil when the door reaches 90 degrees.

Be kind to those screws - they love to strip out

A nice concept but the screws are just crap and will strip out with the slightest over torque. I ended up removing them with pliers and using my own screws. Update: after one week the friction has built up to the point where I need to up the spring force a good deal. I just don't trust it now.

The gate is always closed.

The gate is always closed. Glad we purchased this garage gate. We use it for our entrance gate. We wanted to see the gate shut every time we looked out there. And the kids in the neighborhood would always leave it opened. The set up is very nice and the gate house is nice and smoothly. This is a product that we recommend.

Not impressed! Lacks the power/spring strength to close my exterior fence gate? No a big gate, and made from plastic. I'm gonna try mounting it in the middle rather than the top of the gate.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT.

I bought two of these for the gates in my garden. The first time I installed this it was too close and the gate would not open all the way. I tried to remove it, the Philips screw heads were striped out (yes I used the proper size driver). I had to remove two of these really cheap screws with a pair of needle nose vice grips. I re-installed it and discovered that I only had two choices of adjustment. Not completely closing or slamming. All this product is a spring in a case. You could do just as well with a screen door spring. You know that really long spring you use to use on screen doors. The one I tried to install was a mess but I sent the other one back.

I’ve installed Prime-Line KC60HD in several doors with excellent results. Bought this version since it’s the recommended for outdoors. Product is very weak and breaks easily. Do not waste your money.

Beware: Absolute GARBAGE

This will not close a gate heavier than 20 pounds. Failed immediately and had to be thrown out. I doubt it would hold up outside in any application.
