Good product, but inconsistent woods.

There seem to be two different version of this striker, a laminate and an exotic hardwood version. Previously, I got the laminate version and it played better with higher pitch yelps and a clearer rollover on my Jackpot slate. I ordered one off of here as a backup and it was the exotic hardwood (looks like Ipe) version instead. Played well on my glass call, but definitely a different tone on the slate. Wish Primos would keep the wood consistent on these but each striker was high quality in its own way.

Above Avg But Not Great

I got this as a replacement for the custom striker that came with my Primos Jackpot slate call. I lost my custom striker in the woods. The custom striker that came with my Jackpot call sounded better in my opinion. But, this is a worthy replacement.

Actually It's a ZERO

This is the Cheapest piece of junk I have ever seen in my life. It looks like a molded piece of plastic and it is incredibly rough the length of the striker and all around the tip. It is virtually unusable !!!! Don't waste your time and money. I sent it back for refund. Absolutely Amazed Primos would put their name on this. I wouldn't want or keep this item if it was free. If I wasn't returning the Triple 7 striker I would break it in half to see if it was indeed plastic. It has no characteristics of laminated hardwood and weighs about as much as a sliver of pine.

Outstanding striker. Made a great sound with my crystal call. didn't get to use a lot. Called a bird within 15 minutes and the hunt was over. Thanks

Great replacement striker for Primos slate call

I lost my original striker for my Primos slate call and this one is much better. Performs like I expect it should.
