Great replacements for 17 year old PolyPlanar speakers

Exact fit, easy to install, and grateful I didn't have to replace wiring. They sound GREAT!!

Installed easily in the previous holes. Sound distorts near top end of 50 watt per channel unit

These went into a 2005 Larsen 27 Lxi to replace the original Jensen 150 watt speakers that were just weather warn and cones blown. These went in easily although the the old speakers had a snap on cover and these are single molded unit and I had to drill new screw holes because these were out farther than originals. The sound great at abut 50% of volume when playing off an Iphone that is set to top volume. But when you start getting to 75% volume on my 200 watt / 50 per channel system, they start distorting quickly. That said... at idle or low cruise, 50% is almost too loud for conversation, but when we are underway, and want more volume, we distort at the higher end. I'm not an audio expert, but I sure don't understand how a 200 watt speaker like this one can distort on a 50 watt per channel, 200 watt max head unit. In fairness, I think the Jensen's that came with the boat would distort too, but its been so long since they were new, solid speakers before they blew out, I kind of forget. Short version: These are cheap, sound good, work and got us back to some good sound when played at a reasonable, old man volume.

Great speakers for the price

*update* I've had these speakers installed for over 2 years now. Ended up installing the other 2 for a total of 4 speakers. All but one are still working just as good as the day I bought them. That one almost sounds like it's slighlty blown when turned up really loud but all other volumes it sounds fine. This issue only started this past summer. They have held up in the marine environment very well considering how often they get wet. Whenever they do decide to kick the bucket I will absolutely be buying another set. Installed these on my center console skiff last week. Honestly for the price they sound great. Overall sound quality was way above my expectations. I had high end speakers on my last boat and honestly sound quality isn't much different except maybe these have slightly less bass. Didnt come with instructions but I've installed speakers before. Included wiring is cheap but i used my own anyways. Time will tell how they hold up. Bought 4 installed 2 not sure if I even need the other 2 because it sounds pretty good even when cruising. Good quality for the money I would absolutely recommend.

Long lasting still working after long exposure to the weather elements

Install on my camper for outside tunes and they sound good, they also have smaller holes in speakers grates that keep the wasp dirt dobber out from coming into my camper and making a nest in camper when it closed up.

Cut a hole in the rear quarter panels of Mike are manatees been there for a year doesn't the car washes and rain still sound and work great for those times when people think your music is loud inside the truck.. and remember people this is a pair of speakers for less than fifty bucks don't think you're going to get serious bass response from a small cheap speaker but if you give it a clean signal and enough power they're pretty darn loud and clear

Item had been opened, tested then returned by a previous purchaser and then shipped to me,screws missing and spade connectors fitted to the speaker's with no cable. disappointing
