Work great for the stated usage

I bought these to use as a retainer for the weight pouches on my bd/w setup. They have a perfect 2" opening and they stay in place. I even used one to attach the crotch strap to my backplate and it is more secure than the metal on I had originally plus I get an extra D ring for elsewhere. As for not being able to double thread a strap that is dependent on the thickness of the strap itself. A weight belt strap is thick so it can hold lead weights so it won't be able to be threaded twice but on a weight belt it should not be threaded twice.

Great pink color, but a little small

I got the pink and it's a lovely color; not hot pink. It's 2018 and these weight belt keepers are still the same as one of the old 2016 reviews: slots are only 1 7/8 inch tall and it is finicky to get a 2" weight belt in - although it is do-able without other tools (just the belt). I noticed that after threading the 2" belt through a couple of times and pulling the belt back out semi-fast, there were tiny plastic shavings. That action was enough to act as a "file", did make the slot opening a bit wider than 1 7/8 inch, and did make it slightly easier to rethread. ps, I haven't been able to thread a standard scuba weight belt back through an already filled slot (only one nylon layer allowed per slot).

Good Idea

Wonderful add on to any weight belt. get your brick in the rite spot and keep them there. Makes trimming you weights easier.

These came in fast. Haven't added them to my belt yet. But a friend need a couple of these for temporary use. I let him borrow a few. They looked sturdy and did its job.

Solid product!

These little things are great, really solid plastic and the ribs are very good to grip into the material you are threading into. I use them with my weight belt and they keep with weights exactly where I want them. I recommend this product.
