Does it all

So I have had this bag for a few years now and it is excellent! Started as my fishing bag then my camping pack, then I combined the ideas and started kayak camping. At this point the bag has left the house 50+ times for my outdoor goings and the only part to mess up is the thin material on the inside that separated compartments, it has ripped allowing items in the net and morall patch pockets to move around but you still keeps your gear inside the bag. I have rolled in my kayak with the bag secured by the chest and waist buckels and never lost anything, the bags compartments were slightly wet after what was likely 1 minute submerged. All electronics, lighters, ect. Were dry and usable. Used as overhead on Delta air. Comfortable straps. Molly attached items on the sides block access to side pockets or if you attached to the pockets you start to get a bag that bumps doorframes. aswell the front facing molly makes it hard to assess the bottom pocket behind the flap if you have a large item like a Etool attached. Overall get one for every family member.

Company stands behind product!

I bought this backpack as a replacement for one that I had earlier. Had it for approx 5 years and used it daily as my everyday pack to and from work at the hospital. But unfortunately one of the zippers on the bag ripped and would no longer close. So I purchased another one on Amazon. One that was on sale from another brand. Big mistake. I missed my old SOG backpack. The one from the new brand just didn’t compare in quality. At all. Matter of fact after just 3 months the new bag from the other company brand started falling apart. Mind you I wasn’t hard on it. I’m a nurse in a busy hospital and use it for my daily commute. Not out crawling through the bush with it. Disappointed, I went back on Amazon and bought a new SOG backpack. Once I received the new one I noted on the tags that it stated “Lifetime Warranty.” So I thought “what the heck. Give it a shot.” So I did some searching online and finally found the company that makes the backpacks for SOG was TORG - The Outdoor Recreation Group. I reached out to them via email and explained what happened to my original backpack. They wrote back and asked me to provide a picture of the damage along with a picture of the Mfg. tag on the inside of the bag. Next thing I know I receive an email with a FedEx tracking number stating my new replacement bag was on the way! The Customer Service Rep Markeitah was so helpful and super friendly.( Thanks again Markeitah!) It is so refreshing to see a company stand behind their product. I will continue to buy their product and wholeheartedly recommend them without hesitation. Now I have to great backpacks. One for work and another for the range.

Has been a good experience

I walk around my neighborhood for exercise. I decided to try rucking so I wanted a new pack to carry some weight. It has worked out very well for me. I am not a long distance hiker or spending nights in the woods so for that use I cannot evaluate this pack but I think it would do very well.

Good construction durability but color fades in the sun.

I use as tail bag on my motorcycle. It has held up well but faded significantly in the sun.

Great value climbing pack with helmet stow

The media could not be loaded. As I note in the video, this pack easily held all my climbing gear to include the clipping stick and it has a stow for helmets. It's very comfortable to carry and harness fully adjusts. I don't love the color options and would have preferred a green or brown instead of black which is going to get dirty. It also could have used straps on top to secure the rope and wider mole slots for the clipping stick. But all in all a great value and a good climbing pack.

Almost perfect

I have had this bag for years. Randomly found it at Walmart on clearance for $20 I think. It holds up! Shoulder strap design is great. There is only one problem with this bag. It NEEDS an internal frame. Doesn't have to be much. A thin 14" piece of shaped flexible plastic would be fine. It's a 39L bag. It can hold a ton. Unfortunately with a frame your bag doesn't hold shape well and things move around. You can end up with things digging into your back because there is no frame.

Perfect Pack

This pack is awesome. So awesome, I've got multiples. It's got a TON of space. I use 1 of them for hunting, it holds everything I need, and although it doesn't collapse like some other backpacks, it's pretty low-profile while up in the tree. Works great as a knee rest when saddle-hunting. Molle loops are great for, well, pretty much anything you'd need 'em for. The other ones I have I use for my college books and binders, and my kids use them for school as well. Fits multiple text books and school supplies with no issue. Not to mention the little pocket on the inside fits a kevlar plate nicely, which is great peace of mind with the state of the world being what it is these days. I'm sure there are some backpacks out there that are more comfortable, or more fancy, or just all-around better, but while it's certainly no Mystery Ranch pack, for the money, you just can't beat it. Definitely would buy another one. Although, I may not need to for a while. I've had mine for about 2 years (3 college semesters and 2 deer seasons), and there's not a single sign of wear.

Lot of bag for the price

I have 2 of these bags. I camouflage and now one black. I’ve had the first one for 3 years and have used it many times as a carry on and hiking as well as for work. The zippers all work perfectly and not a rip. The functionality is really good for a bag that is under $100. Multiple pockets and the front portion is large enough to carry big items without issue since they can be tightened with the straps. Great bag I’m happy they are still making them. I highly recommend this item.

Very happy with this purchase. High Quality

This is a quality backpack. It is just the right size for what I needed. It is super comfortable and is fully adjustable to my larger body frame. Would make a great range pack. The Molle sites are solid and decent. Lots of rooms for morale hook and loop patches. Not a tome of separate compartments but there is lots of room to add Molle packs all over this fella.

A1 quality with a great price hard to find now a days

I received my new pac today and have to say for the price this is a quality pac The only thing I’m not a fan of is the vent holes in the bottom I bought this pac for hunting and I can see on a wet day things in the bottom of the pac getting wet. That being said the construction is top notch and is a great buy of anyone looking for a medium sized backpack
