No padlock cutter

This is fine for smaller metal wire. But I tried cutting a padlock as well as two other men. We could not do it with these cutters

Small but still powerful!

I bought this tool for one specific job: to chop up several dozen feet of 1/4" thickness rusted steel garden fencing. I didn't really need a heavy duty-pair of full-length bolt cutters for that; but neither was a simple pair of hand-held pliers or small wire cutters going to be sufficient for me either. So, I settled upon this "intermediate" choice, which has approximately 14" handles for leverage. I'm so happy that I did! This cutting tool sliced through that old metal fencing latticework with relative ease. Plus, I've since discovered that it will smoothly cut through 8 penny nails, screws, chain-link fencing, etc. In short, if you're looking for a lightweight cutting tool for wire diameters that fall somewhere between the small and the large, then you need search no further. This mid-range model is just perfect for delivering a lot of cutting power without the bulk (and cost) of a larger tool.

For its size

It was cheap and for the price I like it. It’s not great for hard metals but it’s great to use for small chains and wire. It be ok to cut Barbwire and other fence wire. I’m planing to try the 24in and see if I can use it for my bigger jobs.

Worth the money

Used this to cut welded wire fence and braided wire used for support. They cut well and are easy to use. My only complaint is the latch on the handle is very poor.

DIFFICULT TO USE!

Yes, it cuts chain link fence BUT VERY DIFFICULT TO USE BECAUSE THERE IS A LOT OF RESISTANCE TO OPENING CUTTER WIDE ENOUGH TO INSERT CHAIN LINK. FENCE TO CUT IT.

Needed to cut off an old bike lock. This worked great. I don't think it would have cut through anything much thicker however

Decent qulaity, inexpensive.

These do the job. There's nothing really sexy about them but they're decent quality and comparatively inexpensive. They work, which is a pretty good recommendation.
