Beware of product description

You are not getting what it appears that you are getting. All of the product images make it look like this is an orange hook with a steel skiff hook. The skiff hook in the package picture is not real. The skiff hook in the hero picture is not included. You are paying $20 for the orange plastic piece and will need to purchase the skiff hook separately.

Item received not as pictured

All of the picture info suggest that the snap hook comes with so it is the right size. Even your picture shows it as part of the item. What arived did not have the snap hook with it and so is not usable until I can locate one. If this was an oversight, then send the hook, if not, then I don't recommend this item.

Find the right size pole.

Very easy to use, and your feet stay dry. Went to the hardware section, and bought a paint roller telescopic extension handle. Works great from the launch dock.

Works Good

Hooks the winch hook to the bow eye. I use a rope to hand pull my boat 2/3rds up the trailer. I have a cleat on my winch stand to secure that rope. Then hook winch hook to bow eye with this tool and winch fully up on trailer. Keeps feet dry.

Works great, but could be bigger...

This fit perfectly to my Star Brite handle that I use to brush down the boat. While hoop netting last weekend, it worked great and no issues to report. My only wish is the hook would extend out a little bit further to help secure the rope.

ez hooker

did not try it yet but looks like it will work. will have to add on a (s) hook to my end to hook it up to the boat and bring up to the winch and then remove the (s) hook.

Stop Walking in the Water

Use this boat hook to attach your boat winch hook to the front of your boat without getting wet. Reach out 6 feet with the matching extendable pole, hook on the winch strap hook on the boat eye and then separate the hook with a half turn of the pole then crank in the boat.

Broke on first use

Broke on first use , original only needed replaced due to loss, lasted several years

No thread in the connector

When I browser the product I remember I selected this one that had the thread connector. But when I try to use it today and found it has no thread to connect to my pole.
