Altough fits well, states in the description that they are powder coated silver...no they are not. Back plates needed to be welded.

Really Nice Fenders, Heavy Duty

Ordered these fenders for a large double propane cooker I was building for our church and I didn't like the ones I found at Tractor Supply nor Northern Tools because they were not very sturdy. I read the reviews on these and decided to give them a try and I am so happy I did ! These fenders are very well made and thicker than the ones I looked at elsewhere, they in fact so sturdy that I was able to stand on them once welded to my cooker trailer without warping them and I am 6ft 241lbs. The only complaint is that the back skirts come only tack welded on but for myself that wasn't an issue because I am a welder/fabricator. The fenders are heavy enough gauge to take the heat of decently heavy welds without warping nor burning through, as you can see in the third picture where I stich welded the skirts. Overall, these are the best quality fenders I have used for trailers and will now be my go to fenders.

Broken welds and rust...

Ordered fender but failed to notice they were sold individually. My fault. When fender arrived, yup, a couple of broken welds but reviews had forewarned of that probability so I was prepared. Otherwise, fender looked great and I was pleased so ordered a second. Second fender arrived also with broken tack welds and a bunch of rust. I sent it back. Third fender had only one broken weld- but even more rust, greasy finger prints and a general look of having been returned once before. Should have kept the second fender. I need to get this project finished so will work with what I've got but... doubt I'll do business here again.

Good product- quality materials- poor tack welds

As others have noted, the tack welds could be a bit more substantial but overall these worked very well. That didn’t affect me too much, as when mounting I was able to securely attach them to the surrounding wood. If I was going to use metal sides then the problem would have been fixed by the welder. All in all, I’m pleased with the quality. Painted on some AGS Rust Solutions and they were good to go.

Good fender but could be a little better with the welds

this fender was replacing one on a boat trailer frame that is being used to build a homemade camper since it was a boat trailer the fenders had been custom cut back at the top inside of fender to allow clearance for the boat hull and had a half-inch plywood back where it was custom cut well for my camper build I needed a new fender that had not been custom cut and with a steel backplate, this fender is same size as the old one the fender is the same thickness as old the problem I had as others have stated was the half baked spot welding done to the backplate, not near enough welds its no wonder people had them breaking. All the welds are from inside fender and spaced about 8 inchs apart. I added spot welds to the back side of fender at each of there welds plus added one in between that should work well done like that

Great fender... If you have a welder

This fender is great, and a good match for the one that got turn up with a tire that lost it's tread. The only weak point is that they track the backing plate on with a measly 5 spot weld. Out of those 5, only 4 we're holding. I ordered this knowing the issues and added my own welds

Please do a better welding job

When I received the wing, one of the spots where it was welded together was coming apart and so I had to go in myself and reweld it. I also went back through all the other spots and added 1/2" of welding between all. After I fixed it up, it fit perfectly and looks like the original.

Perfect fit.

I like the shape for sure, and the fit also! The lack of welding was a shocker, small contact electric welds, just won't be enough. It is installed on a trailer so I added more weld where I felt it was needed.

Junk. Cheaply made

Only spot welded together and poor welds right out of the box they were broken. Very poorly made.
