Heavy Cylindrical Boring

The media could not be loaded. Had to bore a breather hole for tankless water heater through 8” of solid concrete. Drilling horizontally about eye-level, this is a heavy boring tool, difficult to handle, so I built a wood fixture to help target and hold the weight. I think the bit can be used wet or dry, in my case dry cutting was my only option. Lot of DUST, so wear a breather mask and eye protection. I wore ear plugs too because it was an enclosed shed. The task took a week, about 20-25 hours of actual powering (slowly) through about an inch per day. If the drill angle is a tiny bit off, the whole thing BINDS UP and stalls the drill. I could stand and push the drill with my back leg braced agains the rear wall for maybe 10 minutes at a time before I succumbed to the fatigue. Rest for 5 - 10 minutes, and resume the attack. You’ll need patience and persistence because (in my case) it was literally a long, . . . hard, . . . grind. If your project is straight down into a concrete floor, your results will probably be more efficient.

Got the job done

The diamond isn't as coarse as I would like but it got the job done. Didn't have a proper water attachment but keep the cutting area under a constant spray. An sds plus was used. I did not have a drill only mode and could only do the job on the two highest speeds with medium pressure

Skeptical at first..

This is an awsome core drill, i was skeptical at first, because of some bad reviews i saw. But this thing went thru a foot of rock wall with no issues. Bit is still intact,all teeth are good. Would definitely recommend it.

Absolute junk

If you look at the photos that pretty much tells the story, I actually tried to use it, and it was absolutely worthless. I had to make a template to even start to use it because it jumped all over the place, probably because of those pieces of welding, slag whatever that is on 3 of the cutters I would not recommend this thing is definitely going back very unhappy big waste of time.

Great value tbh

We cut through block with this, went slow, and it cut through it no problem. Very good value if you’re only needing to make a cut or two. Definitely buy the shank that it suggests, no local retailer near me carrier 5/8” shank needed.

Seems good, but I couldn't use it because of imprecise dimensions.

This carotteuse / core drill bit seems plenty good for the price 62€. If you get a few holes out of it, or even one, you're fine. It's made in China, of course. But I had to return it un-used because the dimensions indicated in the images did not match. The images show 355mm from teeth to end of the 101mm circular part, but in reality it's 420mm. This was a problem because I needed to use a guiding drill bit and 400mm is the normal long size which would not protrude beyond the cutting teeth. This may not be a problem for you. Also, the description says that the adapter thread is 5/8" and it was about impossible to find such an item. I translated 5/8 to 16mm and found an M16 item, but it didn't really fit. It must be something like a M16 or 5/8" double-coarse (regular M16 the threads are too dense for this.) FYI the spec paper that comes with this shows thread 1.25in-7 but that's not right either - it's definitely about 5/8" diameter. The spec paper says inside depth 400mm, and overall length 450mm (teeth to end of knob for adapter) which seems to match the reality. The listing on Amazon really needs a link to a perfectly compatible adapter, and some more precise dimensions - because that's what we need.
