Nice light bit

Still not quite right for a big horse

It's tough to find western bits in 5 5". My horse is a 1600lb warmblood and while the mouth piece is wide enough, I had to bend the top pieces hat connect to the headstall outward because it was too tight. It's ok, but I am still not convinced this is comfortable enough for her. I may go back to a snaffle.

Great bit for my Haflinger

My horse came with a snaffle bit and was horrible to control. He threw his head all the time and chewed on the bit constantly. I decided to try a simple curb, (past experience told me to). This one is perfect! The minute I put it in his mouth, he became a different horse. Now he is relaxed and content with a bit in his mouth and a joy to ride. I know every horse and situation is different, but it's working great for us. As an added note, I have a Haflinger with a very wide mouth and muzzle and this 5 1/2 inch fits him perfectly! The bit itself is clean, pretty, simple and sturdy. I recommend and would buy again myself.
