These Are Wonderful/Ignore the Naysaying

I put 2 up...under eaves of home. Very safe for them. No critters can get to them in this area. It's so drier/much warmer in these. Easy to hang...like a few seconds and they aren't garish or tacky. I'm so happy each time I see them, they definitely are being used. I rinsed them off really well and dried them... when they first arrived. I'm tired of dolts giving bad reviews for things that obv. had to be manufactured. Like almost everything does right? Duh. They are great! Period.

will not use this

The idea is wonderful but the materials used are horrible! I can not in good conscious use this. It is too rough for any small critter and I would be afraid that it would poke an eye out.

Great hiding in the ivy

Great hiding in the ivy. Not the usual version built really for humans to see, feels like it is more what the bird would wish for.

Well made and well designed.

I purchased two of these recently after originally seeing them on a well known TV shopping channel. The price from Hortafix is very good and they were delivered quite quickly. The nester seems to be well made & a well thought about design. It was designed to be postioned somewhere secluded and it is also described as able to be hung up somewhere, although there is nothing on the back of the nester to enable you to do that,

Good value, quality item. Just add birds!

Really couldn’t be happier with this - looks to be good quality, very pleasing appearance and prompt delivery. Well packaged, but not overly so, so I didn’t have masses of packaging to dispose of. Exceeded my expectations.

We have a robin nesting in this nest box right now ! We tucked it into a large honeysuckle where the wee birds like to shelter. Bit concerned it’s not 100% waterproof from above but much the same as a birds nest, so ... It’s rigid and stable and secure, don’t yet know how durable but it’s a sturdy wee thing. We have many nest boxes of various sorts, very happy with this one, trust Mrs Robin is too.

Looks the part

I have attached the nest in a sheltered part of a hedge with plastic garden plant fasteners, as suggested by another review. I have also attacked a plastic sheet protection above it. I wonder if it is really for summer nesting purpose, or whether it is strong enough to survive winter. Time will tell, but so far so good. If it doesn't like wintery conditions, I think it is well strong enough to place in a hedge or bush in summer and the size is ideal.
