Strong but pricey. Update: now made in Taiwan

Original 2017-02-17: Very strong, very well made. Spindle thread pitch allows greater clamping force than 400 series. A bit pricey... so I only have a few for special clamping needs in fabrication. I fill out my clamping needs with lesser clamps. Updated 2010-02-04: I needed a couple more clamps. The price was still kind of high; but lower than last 12 months. The clamps just arrived and the printing on the box says “Made in Taiwan”. They appear to be the same design and features as the ones I bought 4 years ago “Made in U.S.A.” I guess I’ll keep them. The thread pitch of the 100 series is finer on the 400 series. Also the clamp C-body of the 100 series have larger cross-section than the 400 series . I am able to apply more clamping force without cheaters or bending the T-handle. I’m still a little disappointed that yet another top quality production has left USA.

Pricey for what you get. (Probably Junk)

I bought these to replace my old USA made clamps that were stolen. I thought I was getting the real USA made model (pictured), and that is why they were $80. plus. All I can say is these are not those. These are a really heavy duty clamp with a light duty t-bar handle. I bent mine under hand pressure just testing them out. I am considering grinding the handle off and just using a wrench, it is that bad. Will they get the job done? Yes. Are they worth $80? Probably not. Mine arrived in a box labeled Made in Taiwan, and it is not the same as the old casting. Would I recommend or buy these again? No way!
